- May be some of you noticed, but for ones who didnt, i am (will be) away as active for next 5-7 days as GM, so all the events and other plans will delay for the mentioned period during real life situation including natural dissaster i am facing here. Unsufficient and iregular distribution of electricity makes my work impossible atm. Thank you for understanding and everything should be back within 7 days.

All other questions and issues should be forwarded to other staff.

We have some problems with hoster. Support ticket was already sent to them to fix problem as soon as possible. We sorry about this issue.

Our hoster merged company with another company, they are re-routing and moving everything to the new system. Expect global downtime of 24h!

Apologize for the inconvenience , but our hoster have informed us about all this on German language (great...)

Our data center is still not replying us regarding Tarantula. We have over 7 support tickets opened and contacted them via all other possible ways, and yet no reply. We have it all documented.

Finally some of the good news. So here is the sum up and the news:

Our data center was bought by another German company. We have got 0 news about this (not only us but all their customers), as weird it sounds its absolute truth , else why we would want such downtime to happen.
So switching to new hoster and moving files physically created a HUGE mess to all customers of data center , again without notice nor emails.

Now, even we have opened 8+ support tickets, 1 of them was answered and after that we were kept in dark until present day. Basically the response was that they are moving files and that everything should be fine in next 24h. BUT , then something happened that left us in SHOCK. Our beloved old/new data center forgot to tell us that Germans have holidays when basically NOTHING works for several days:

And again they didnt told us about it (by mistake or on purpose? we will never know), resulting full blackout and 0 info. We tried call them over 15 times , send unlimited amount of mails and camped their IRC for 24/7. To be even worst on Sunday morning our access to their web panel was disabled (and still is until present day). Some of you will probably  ask how dragon is working? Well, it seems like they managed to move dragon just before they went on free blackout holidays enjoying beers and sausages, while majority of us were suffering. Thank you Germany, so professional from your side.

Now thew NEWS:

Drake managed to reach them today via IRC (since holidays are over , at least for few days). I dont have to show you how many of "im sorry balblbalal" we got, and in the end it doesnt help us, and it wont end on that for them.
Basically they have told us that they wrongly sent our hard disks to a wrong person, they left them on the shell that is used for hdd formatting! GREAT! However we got lucky, they spotted the mistake they did and take our hdd-s back undamaged (as they said, i dont believe them before i see the files). So they told us they ordered missing parts for new data center , but because there was holidays for them there is delay in delivery. Long story short, they expect in next 36h that everything should be back as it was (maybe even earlier). So thats it, once we get back the access to our web panels (yes for some unknown reason we are still locked there), i will know the status and ETA when Tarantula will be back online.

Until then we can only wait as we dont have physically access to the files.

Downloaded all the files from our hdds, CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 0 consistency errors in database 'interlude'.

All our files are saved and all db (aka what you have played , items , chars all ...) saved 1/1. These are GREAT GREAT news, they didnt freak up hdds and our db! GREAT!

Now we are contacting them to wipe all and install fresh OS so we can access back via RDP and put files back. In addition we are enabling another machine at another hoster if their reply takes too long.

So more or less is a matter of day when tara will be back online. Once i have more details ill write u back.

But what matters now is that EVERYTHING IS SAVED 1/1.

- After the greatest issue we had in last 10 years, we finally managed to fully restore Tarantula back online, with all the data saved. We really like to apologize to our players, even if it wasn't our fault at all, for this inconvenience and for the brake they had from the game. There is no word to express our deepest regrets, therefor we will reward all the players with some benefits :

- Double rates in next 23 days [exp];[sp];[drop];[spoil]
- Each character got free hat in inventory free of charge (*if character >lv1)
- Trick and Transmutation event running until 17.7.2014
*Donation system (paypal) will be enabled in next 24h, so please support the server once the service is established back. [there will be announcement about it]

Some upcoming changes will follow in next few days once situation stabilize , in particular:
- promoting server pack
- new active GM-s promotion
- several pvp tournaments
- some good changes suggested by community
- minor bug fixes


Thank you once again for your great patience and hopefully everything will be back to normal in no time.

A new member is added to Tarantula staff. Give a big applause for a GM ^Pho^!

His duties will be from now on reserved for:

- Consultation services on weekly basis (at least once in 2 days in game), you will be able to tell him your issue in game and any positive suggestion you may have. He will note it down and we will solve/reconsider it.
- Quick events on daily basis in game, on global level.
- Community order keeper.
- Latino American players support in game / forum.
