Skill Balance:

General:

  • Weapon Mastery:
    There's now only one Weapon Mastery in the game which gives 8.5% P.Atk and 17% M.Atk plus flat values when leveling up the skill. This is to prevent stacking different Weapon Masteries between Mage and Fighter Classes.

  • Heavy/Light/Robe Armor Masteries:
    Based on only 3 Armor Masteries, one for each type, this prevents stacking of different kinds (mage/fighter) of armor masteries which would result in insane values arround Cast/Atk Spd.
    The level given of the specific armor mastery is dictated by the pdef given by that specific level.
    Additional (class related) effects (evasion/mp regen/etc...) from the mastery are obtained from extra secondary passive skills (example: "Light Armor Evasion Mastery").
Comment: These changes have been arround since forever. Their doing is to ensure that stacking passives don't make certain classes combos "OP"
         

Items:

  • Magical Staffs: *
    Stats increased to meet Gracia Final values.
  • Elixir of Mental Strenght: *
    Mana received increased by 75% on all grades
  • SA Focus
    Added SA Focus to Bow of Peril and Carnage Bow
Comment: These changes are to help with character progression and potentialy create a new playstyle to the mage classes.
         

Knight Classes:

  • Majesty:
    Scaling by armor type: LvL3: Heavy + 15% P.Def, Light +10% P.Def, Robe +7%
  • Ultimate Defense:
    Scaling effect on armor type: Heavy Armor 100% effect, Light armor 50% effect, Robe armor 25%
  • Vengeance:
    Scaling effect on armor type: Heavy armor 100% effect, Light&Robe armor 50% effect
  • Aggression
    Aggression chance is 100% but it has 6 seconds(fixed) cooldown added.
  • Aura of Hate
    Aura of Hate chance is 100% but It has 20 seconds(fixed) cooldown added.

Comment: Mostly a buff to the agro skills and scaling on other skills so that the Tank class doesn't become prevalent over other classes when choosing your substack. Our goal is to make the Tank classes the best choice versus archers, an Ok choice vs other fighters but their weak spot being versus magical damage dealers.
         

Rogue Classes:

  • Ultimate Evasion:
    Scaling effect on armor type: Light armor 100% effect, Heavy & Robe 50% effect, It has a chance to evade skills as well.
  • Added Shadow Step skill with some restrictions and nerf: It has 3 levels, you can learn it at 52/68/79. Level1: 400 range, 30 mana consumption, Level2: 500 range, 40 mana consumption, Level3: 600 range, 50 mana consumption.
  • Added Hide skill with nerf: Lv1: 5seconds duration, Lv2: 10seconds duration, Lv3: 15seconds duration. You can learn it at Lv 52/68/79.

Comment: In the current state of substack anything stacked with the tank class is pretty strong. Instead of nerfing the class into oblivion, we're creating some counter play to it based on dagger classes.

OBT CHANGES

- Added our own npc buffer
- GMSHOP is updated: stage 1 epic jewels are available. Added Ancient Adena in consumables.
- Fixed Quest Horn tradeable, dropable, depositable.
- Added Tattoos Lv1/Lv2 to gmshop
- Added CRP+ Function to AIO npc
- Added BoM / MoM links to AIO npc

Magical Supports:

  • Mana Burn:
    Cooldown changed to 45 seconds(affected by all casting and reduction buffs)
  • Recharge:
    Cast restrictions: Cannot be casted on a class that has recharge skill learnt.
  • Resurrection:
    All resurrection skills (scrolls included) have at least a 40% exp recovery and builds up by +5% each level (resurrection lv9 is 90%), WIT will modify this value up/down and can reach 100% exp recovery
  • Prophecies:
    Only able to cast on party members
  • Stigma:
    Added Skill: Stigma to Shillien Elder class.
    Stigma is working for all weapons excluding: 2H Sword, 2H Blunt, Bow
    The skill has been scaled: Lv40-10%, Lv60-15%,Lv75-20%

Comment: With the introduction of substack alot of characters will have the ability to manipulate mana. To ensure that mana isn't burned super quick and that mana isn't created easily by infinite looping it on self/other oracles we had to limit these options. Worry not! There will be other ways for you to regen mana!
         

Mage Classes:

  • Aura flash:
    After cast reduces PvP damage by 33% for the next 3 seconds.

As some of you mentioned, Interlude buffslots are an issue so in order to help with this, we're adding some of the Improved buffs to try and give players more freedom with buffslots. This changes will only affect Stage 2 and 3 as all of this skills are learnable post lvl 60 (Stage 1 max level).

Prophet:

  • Improved Combat (lvl 70):
    Combines P. Atk. increase and P. Def. increase to have more advanced combat power increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases P. Atk. by 15% and P. Def. by 15%.
  • Improved Condition (lvl 70):
    Combines maximum HP increase and Max MP increase to have more advanced mental and physical power. For 40 minutes, increases Max HP by 35% and Max MP by 35%.

Elven Elder:

  • Improved Shield Defense (lvl 70):
    Combines shield Def. rate increase and Shield Defense. increase to have more advanced shield ability increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases Shield Defense by 30% and Shield Defense by 50%.
  • Improved Movement (lvl 70):
    Combines Spd. increase and Evasion increase to have more advanced movement increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases Speed by 33 and Evasion by 4.
Shillien Elder:

  • Improved Magic (lvl 70):
    Increases both M. Atk. and M. Def. to have more advanced magic ability increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases M. Atk. by 75% and M. Def. by 30%.
  • Improved Critical Attack (lvl 70):
    Combines Critical Rate increase and Critical Damage increase to have more advanced critical increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases Critical Rate by 30% and Critical Damage by 35%.

Warcryer:

  • Chant of Combat (lvl 70):
    Combines party members' P. Atk. increase and P. Def. increase to have more advanced combat power increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases P. Atk. by 15% and P. Def. by 15%.
  • Chant of Critical Attack (lvl 72):
    Combines party members' Critical Rate increase and Critical Damage increase to have more advanced critical increase effect. Increases Critical Rate by 30% and Critical Damage by 35% for 40 minutes.
  • Chant Movement (lvl 72):
    Combines a party member's Speed increase and Evasion increase effects for a more advanced movement increase effect. For 40 minutes, increases Speed by 33 and Evasion by 4.
  • Chant of Blood Awakening (lvl 74):
    Combines party members' general attack damage absorption and Atk. Spd. increase to have a more advanced blood awakening effect. For 40 minutes, increases Atk. Spd. by 33% and bestows the ability to recover as HP 9% of the standard melee damage inflicted on the enemy.
Overlord:

  • Condition of Pa'agrio (lvl 72):
    Combines a party/clan member's maximum HP increase and Max MP increase effects for more advanced mental and physical power. For 40 minutes, increases Max HP by 35% and Max MP by 35%.   
  • Soul of Pa'agrio (lvl 77):
    For 20 minutes, increases nearby clan members' M. Atk. by 75% and M. Def. by 30%.

Destroyer & Tyrant:

  • Polearm Mastery:
    Passive skill removed. Orc are always too strong and able to farm in high level spots without having top gear. This should make it harder to do that whilst still allowing them to be great farmers.(Same as on Nova)
  • + Frenzy/Guts + Tottems:
    You cannot stack Frenzy or Guts with Tottems. Frenzy/Guts is replacing Tottems.(Same as on Nova)
  • Fist Fury:
    Fist Fury only working on fists.(Same as on Nova)
  • Frenzy:
    Bow bonus removed. Now buff is 60 seconds (90 seconds before).
  • Guts:
    Now buff is 60 seconds (90 seconds before).

Overlord:

  • Soul Guard:
    Full effect on Robe and 50% effect on Light/Heavy.

Swordsinger

  • NEW SKILL - Battle Whisper (level 60):
    For 2 minutes, increases the user's P. Atk. by 15%, Critical Damage by 10%, and Atk. Spd. by 10%. 50% of this effect for Daggers/Bows.

Bladedancer

  • NEW SKILL - Defense Motion (level 60):
    For 2 minutes, increases your P. Def. by 25%, Evasion by 3, and M. Def. by 10%. 50% of this effect on Robe/Light.

Spellsinger & Sorcerer:

  • Cancel:
    Instead of always removing 5 buffs, is now removing from 1-5 random buffs depending on the number of the buffs the target has.

Make sure to do full-check when you try to log in. You will notice a new NPC near Gatekeeper called "Donny". This will be the Donation/Vote NPC for live server as it was on Nova. Expect alot of the items/prices there to change, it is just a placeholder for now. More information will be given at a proper time.

OBT CHANGES

  • Added two new options on GMSHOP to fully restore HP/CP/MP and to Cancel current buffs.

BUG FIXES

  • Battle Roar problem where it didnt restore health or replace blessed body if both buffs were on the same lvl. Fixed

  • Critical errors from using the beta shop were linked with a problem with Shadowstep and Hide forgotten scrolls (learnable by daggers). Now you can purchase these scrolls on the "Consumables" option in the Beta NPC without problems. Fixed
We are aware that Battle Whisper and Defense Motion have wrong descriptions ingame and those will be fixed for the next restart. The actual values of both of the skills are the ones described in the previous post.

Once again, dont forget to do FullCheck before you login!

Knight Classes:

  • Deflect Arrow:
    This skill has been nerfed at all lvls to not allow mages to be unkillable when subbed with tank class.
    lvl 1 - 16% now gives 2% bow resistance
    lvl 2 - 24% now gives 5% bow resistance
    lvl 3 - 32% now gives 7% bow resistance
    lvl 4 - 40% now gives 10% bow resistance
Summoners:

  • Transfer Pain:
    This skill has been nerfed at all lvls
    lvl 1 - Transfers 10% 8% of received damage to a servitor.
    lvl 2 - Transfers 20% 16% of received damage to a servitor.
    lvl 3 - Transfers 30% 24% of received damage to a servitor.
    lvl 4 - Transfers 40% 32% of received damage to a servitor.
    lvl 5 - Transfers 50% 40% of received damage to a servitor.

We are a few days away from server launch so we're preparing every major change this weekend so you still have time to test before the launch. Only expect a few more changes after this.


SKILL CHANGES

Bladedancer & Swordsinger:
With this two classes, like some of you already guessed, we are going to do some major changes to work around the popularity of these classes and Interlude buffslots.  We're combining the dances and songs together and giving these combos to both of the classes. Addicionally, there is no weapon requirement to use this combos (yes, that means you dont need duals to use them with a BD). The dances/songs that give elemental resists will remain untouched so choose wisely what bard you want for your party.

  • +   REMOVED
    NEW SKILL - Combo of Attack (level 40):
    Increases party members P. Atk. by 12% and M. Atk. by 20%.


  • +   REMOVED
    NEW SKILL - Combo of Water (level 40):
    Increases the evasion of all party members by 3. Increases the accuracy of all party members by 4.


  • +   REMOVED
    NEW SKILL - Combo of Agility (level 43):
    Increases the critical attack rate of all party members by 100%. Increases the critical attack power of all party members by 35%.

    NEW SKILL - Combo of Life (level 49):
    Increases Max. HP by 30% and Increases speed by 20.

    NEW SKILL - Combo of Protection (level 52) :

    Gives all party members the ability to recover as HP 8% of any standard short-range physical damage inflicted on the enemy. Gives party members the ability to transfer 20% of received standard short-range damage back to the enemy.

    NEW SKILL - Combo of Meditation (level 77):
    Decreases all party members' physical/magic skill MP consumption by 5% and re-use time by 20%. Increases all party members' MP recovery bonus by 20%, and decreases magic skill use MP consumption by 10%.

    NEW SKILL - Combo of Champion (level 78):
    Decreases all party members' physical skill use MP consumption by 20% and physical skill re-use time by 10%. Increases all party members' damage magic critical attack rate by 200%.


  • NEW SKILL - Inner Rhythm:

    • lvl 1 (40) - MP consumption for song and dance is decreased by 7%.
    • lvl 2 (66) - MP consumption for song and dance is decreased by 15%.
    • lvl 3 (78) - MP consumption for song and dance is decreased by 25%.


BUG FIXES

  • CP Potions had 0 cooldown, now increased to 1 second.
  • Quick Healing Potions had 0 cooldown, now increased to 5 seconds.
  • Blacksmith of Mammon's option to "make an even trade of weapons", when clicked, was not doing anything. Fixed
  • Tattoo of Magic Powers description bug where it was showing "-Castingspeed" instead of "-M.Def. Fixed


This changes will be applied after the next restart of OBT. Dont forget to do Fullcheck!
