we started ban everyone that used the skill enchant bug.
Many (most) got already banned, if you didn't got banned yet and you used the exploit, we STRONGLY suggest to report yourself and "MAYBE" we will only erase the skills without additional penalties.
The others that will not do it, will get punished as the others (BAN/DELETE).

from the next reboot (tonight? tomorrow?):
- TOI golkonda remains same with the horn tradeable, except that the whole tower over floor 10 will have a nice thing: return and any other spell of "fast escape" (like blessed scroll of escape) will NOT work there. (normal, slow, Scroll of Escape will work still).
- Golkonda's Family (not the TOI one) will give the horn to the last attacker IF he have the quest (means "give last hit"). This horn will be not tradeable.
- Golkonda Horn buyable from Mammon (25 lunargent + 2kk Ancient Adena) (tradeable horn)

strongly suggested to not hunt the golkonda family (except the TOI one) because i'm testing "party drop" routines (the item is given randomly to one party member with the quest of the party that killed the boss) so i currently disabled their drop.

Final setup will be:
TOI: as now (100% drop of his horn on the ground) Strong one, he drops S grade.
other Golkys: drop to one party member with the quest (of the last party that killed golky). This golky have also an additional superbonus of 10% to drop a second horn on the ground.
this is the weak one (it have drop S still, but around 1-5%) (try kill it to see the low regen).
Mammon: 25 lunargent + 2kk AAdena, no golky to touch and no minisiege to get the horn. Just some patience grinding mobs.

Gokly "last party hit" done. I would remember that it is only related to the TWO Longhorn mobs OUTSIDE  ToI.

so it works like this:
1. party of 9 ppl (for example) beat up the cow
2. one of the party members gets the horn (IF he have the quest). There is a 15% success bonus to get the horn to the last guy who gave the final blow. (Again, IF he have the quest)
--The horn that you get directly in inventory is considered quest item (is different item that the one you get in ToI or by Mammon) and is NOT tradeable. So, no money to gain there.
--If the one that gives the final blow doesn't have any party at all, well... he gets the horn (because he is the party) (of course he MUST have the quest).
--There is also 5% chance that the cow will drop the item on the ground (quite rare, but can happen). This horn is in addition to the horn that you get in inventory and this one dropped is tradeable like the one that you get from Mammon or from TOI.
--There is also 5% chance that the cow will give nothing. (unlucky, try again)

Those two cows have some small differencies than the Golkonda in ToI:
- Drop of S is nearly removed (1-5% without modifier, so it can be lower)
- 20% more HP
- 60% less regeneration of HP
also, the respawn time of those two mobs have been reduced by 2 hours.

Oh, i didn't said a thing....
have you readed about the 5% possibility to get nothing? Well... for each party member of your party that is already subbed (or don't have the quest) the % raises (up to 50% in the worst case of only one player in the whole party that needs the horn).
This should help to build party of players that REALLY need the horn. (a full party of players that have the quest to get the horn have the chance to get nothing equal to 1%).

So, at the end, bigger chance to get horn is make big party of players with the quest to complete. (this is for the two golky, not the ToI one)

fixed changepass, before it was lowering-case the answers input, now it handles upper/lower cases (that's why some wasn't able to changepass)

Dragon (after next reboot):
- some spellbooks was effectively too much rare to get (some of them with %/List calculation giving <1%), so now some spellbooks got a boost in the drop. Now all books have a %/List factor to drop that is between 4-12%


* %/List means the absolute % of success of drop the item.

Dragon/Infinity/(Nightmare/Luna) (after next reboot):
-Shining Bow's reuse delay (time between arrows) have been raised to match the same as the Draconic Bow.
Before Shining Bow had 820ms reuse delay and Draconic 1500ms. Now both they have 1500ms.
This have been made because both bow have same price, same power, same all, except that Shining Bow (weirdly) was two times faster (because of the reuse delay)

After next reboot:
-Summoning Scrolls: The "Attack" button is back
-Spawnpoints: now until you move you can't be attacked but you can't do any action (buff, attack, etc...)
-Tattoos upgrade: finally it will show up correctly


we need suggestions for new summoning scrolls, what you would like to be able to use? make a post and suggest (maybe a poll with the most wanted ones) (please avoid valakas, baium and friends)

next reboot:
- added shining bow shaft drop
- shining bow SA now can be got from mammon
- spoils "SHOULD" have been fixed (let me know)
- added back the mats drop for the summoning scrolls
- changed again the spellbooks drop, now should all work fine (not too easy, not too difficult)

we found some hardware issues with dragon, we are sorry for the recent crashes, we are currently working on it to fix it.

Hi, i'm still alive.
I'm so sorry but i totally lack INET connection but the situation should be solved soon. C6 coding (includes C5) is going forward, a bit slowly, but going on. The cause of the big slowdown is of course cause by the fact that without INET connection is quite difficult to test stuffs (or even develop them when needed a server active for debugging/disasm).

btw, for all the rumors about wipe: NO WIPE. X-MEN will live.
If you wanna help C5/C6, just join the dev with the Raven developers, with my current lack of availablity, they are doing the most.

Some updates (currently active on dragon, then on other servers)

*Cancel and cancel-like skills: power reduced
*Disease: base effect is bleed (resistance on bleed will give resistance from disease)
*Weakness: base effect is poison (resistance on poison will give resistance from weakness)
*Wind shakle: base effect is wind (resistance on wind will give resistance from weakness)
*Drain effects: they are all now based on unholy (resistance from unholy gives resistance from drains)
*NPCs that was doing cancel of all, buff and debuffs, will now cancel only buffs
*Surrender to xxx will now stack to resistance to xxx (before they was removing each other)
disease and silence have now -base- probability of success of 60% (before was 80%)
*Silence and anchor now lasts 30 seconds (before was 120 seconds)

Upcoming during the week:
- more tweaks on mages
- fix about weapon mastery stacking on XMENs

*Please remember that resistance/weakness from dark effects is same as resistance from unholy effects (and skills works accordantly to that)

Servers are down because of data center failure, this wasn't planed neither is caused by our fault. As soon as data center resolve it we will bring the servers up. Sorry for this issue .

As you all noticed we have lost Raven server as part of Dragon-Network. There is nothing specific going on, it is just their decision to leave us on hard times cause of some lame offer they got.But i dont wanna waste words on them  cause they are not worth , so ill stick to our DN news:
-Drake have broken pc in last few days ( already is fixing it), should be back online in day or two
-Interlude is on the way ( when drake comes online ) there will be some downtime which will give drake time to implement IL
-New design of site with new options and new design of forum will come in next few days
-Merging designs of community and network site is underway

p.s. All those rumors you have heard about DN is falling apart and that someone bought us and other fake info, are FALSE and they are madded to make DN suffer , but it will NOT HAPPEN .

Wow, long time no updates!

well, here it comes finally :P

ARENA C6 BETA IS OPEN FOR TESTING

You can download the loader from HERE:

First of all, you need a INTERLUDE client. If  you don't have one, you should be able to find easily a torrent on isohunt or somewhere else. I will post a list of working links during the week.

To install all, simply place in your main folder (usually c:\Lineage2 or something like that) and run it.
The first time you run it, please do a fullcheck.

The database is based on Infinity of a super old backup but of course you can create new chars, rates are 200x.
the login user-pass are you current ones. Only current accounts works on Arena, new one will not work on Arena (for now).

Now the stuffs that most people would like to know:
WHAT WORK?
Uhm, i think all

WHAT DON'T WORK OF STUFFS THAT WAS WORKING?
- Laboratories are currently disabled for fixing some minor glitches
- Summoning Scrolls lacks of some buttons on their panel, is a clientside issue and will be fixed asap

WHAT NEW DNET FEATURES?
- All the Kamael fortress are fully working, currently i'm fixing some minor glitches on them (mostly small geos bugs about their "flag holything") but should be ready during the week. This adds another 20 castles fully siegeable the already 9 working of Interlude.
- The subclass system got outdated. On Arena you can currently still use the old fashioned one just because i'm finishing some small updates on the new code. Let's explain in details what the new subclass system gives:

WHAT GIVES THE NEW SUBSYSTEM?
Everyone knows that you can get one single DNET subclass and you can add it to your main class or to your retail subclass. You can take it only once and you can choose classes only of your race. That's all.
The new subclass system plays around the concept of retail subclasses and add more spicy things...
1- you can DNET subclass EACH class you have. Means you can subclass your Main and also all your retail subclasses. This means you get 4 DNET subclasses, one for each retail class.
2- the DNET subclasses linked to your retail subclasses are REMOVABLE. Yes, the main one remains binded forever with your char (like now) but the other three are freely removable! This adds more replayability of the same char
3- hybrids. No one seems liked them... so... hybrid will be removed, with the new system you will be able to choose a class of the same race of the class you are. Means that if you are Paladin, you can subclass only to other human subclasses, if you are Warcryer (but human) you can subclass only to orc subclasses.
4- finally got rid of the bug that some players was getting crash when doing some combos :P
ANYWAY, i got lots of questions about the new system... NO, you don't get 4 subclasses stacking! you get 1 subclass for each retail class (that are in total 4)! Anyway i will write a small faq that will be shown on the new upcoming (and of course: gorgeous) website for DNET (ya, that temp one was quite sucking)

LAST AND I THINK MOST ASKED QUESTION: WHEN UPDATE FOR ALL SERVERS?
Quite simple, after 1 week from open beta of arena... means 1 week from now.

Known Bugs (to not report):
-Laboratories dialogue isn't showing (is wanted for now)
-Buttons on clientside for control of Summoning Scrolls
-Tattoos seems getting positioned (clientside) on the same cell instead on two cells separately. This is a clientside bug and i'm currently fixing it, on serverside your tattoos are 100% working corrently anyway.
If you put a left tattoo and then a right tattoo and then remove the right one you will see that you have no tattoo wearing but in fact you still have the left one. You can notice it wearing another left one and watching the old one come back in inventory.
-Flags of the fortresses are floating
-Tattoos and some items are showing as SHADOW ITEMS even if they arent, again is a clientside problem.

also, sorry for up and downs on arena but i wanna be sure to finish all before the moving of all machines to C6.
I wanna completely port all our current (old?) stuffs on C6 without losses.

BUT, if you find a crash bug (like u do an action and everytime you do it you make all crash....) PLEASE REPORT IT. In all this time we tested all we could but we need now the help of you all to be sure it will work 100% stable.

some notes:

- if you are subbed you have subclass mark with wrote "OldStyle"... means it will be converted to the new system soon. Currently the new system is NOT open to players yet because i'm testing it on arena (private testing). Do not spam about the new system.

- Mana pots lasts 33% time less (20 sec instead of 30), BUT they give MORE MP than before. This is to match with the 33% dmg reduction during pvp. Means that overall everyone does less damage (33%), of course who uses mana is more affected so they have pots that lasts 33% less time and they give MORE mana (so they are like compressed) so you can cast more skills before run out of MP.

- All other custom pots got halved in duration because they was too much of a buff, now they last half-buff (10 minutes). Many asked to remove them, many to keep them, so... we just halve their duration.

- Acumen potion is now a lvl2 acumen because a potion shouldn't be more powerful than a buff. the CLASS is more important than a potion that can easily be made by various other classes. Anyway, can be it will be made it matching the buff (but it will never become better)

- Dances are currently 2minutes and can last up to 6 minutes if enchanted propertly. Retail instead have dances of 1 minute enchantable to max 2 minutes. We will see now how it goes and eventually we will raise them a bit but for now are fine. If i get too much wines on forum about dances i will simply apply the rule "MAKEITASOFFICIAL" (you wanted FistFury as official? You take also dances as official).

- Teleports are retail like, sorry. Eventually we will review some of them but don't expect much changes. Nobless is not a replace of GM's //teleport command but simply the way to become hero.

Interlude:

New Chapter of Dragon-Network , i can only say congratulations to all who helped us in this project that we all waited so long , and of course for your patience. We are running Interlude 3 days now, but still in open beta testing phase. Priorities that we wanted to make by this update (the reason why we delayed it few times) were:

-Stability (server/client side)
-Major bug fix
-Exploits (major one of course, so we don't need to rollback every day or wipe completely every day)
-Some tweaking of things (pots/pvp system/Kamel fortresses and so on...)
-Preventing l2w and other malicious programs that destroyed game a lot (in other word Security)

And all those major priorities are successfully done, and now as every new update happen on any server , same goes for Dragon-Network too, we have some open beta test server which will give us *bug* list that need to be done or even tweaked up. Also you may noticed that Drake is actively back and working/coding 24/7 , fixing bugs and tweaking up some things, he is reading forum daily and we should help him to see correct bugs not the spam wave of "crying topics, understand that new Chapter of Lineage 2 (Interlude) bring new system of many known things so you can not expect after update that we have same things as we had on Chronicle 4 (c4) , remember the past (c3 and c4 after updating have also bring new changes on you have get used during the time), so point is get used to new changes there is nothing "bugabble" in that its just you have to get used on this. I have also saw spam galore about pots/decreese of damage/dances/....understad one thing all those kind of things can be tweaked up,nothing is unchangeable  , but before spamming to return it or remove it use common sense and try to think some minutes why we have put it like this (explained several times). If you want to ask/report something i suggest you 2 things to check first:

a)click on drakes name , then click Show the last posts of this person. and review all of his replys you may find an answer.
b)check other posts/topics maybe its already posted about it and solved

Want to report bug?

Sure we are happy to fix it, but you should do it in proper way so drake and other GM-s can see it on time and not to be lost in "spam wave", so here is the hint how you should do it:
When reporting its impossible to give important details (example if you are reporting clan bug write clan level/clan leader name/server/did you made new clan or it was old one/etc... same goes for other things as well), and its IMPORTANT that you use proper section for it, each server have BUG SECTION where bugs should be written (you don't need to post bugs in general section to showing your point it doesn't help us at all).

"Bugland (test) Period"

Yes, you have to understand that we are fixing at the moment all known bugs and that DN is in open beta so give us some time and all will be pretty balanced as it was (ok "was"),and once again understand new chronicle = new system , get used to it, re-roll. Cheer UP people we are working full time and things will be back on normal and DN will be again on place where it should be , on top!

I would also add that now who was in academy got moved to main clan.
Notice that clan limit (clientside) is 40 members so you will only see 40 members (even if they are all clanned correctly)... solution is simple, just unclan them until you reach amount 40 and reclan them under Knights or Guards (they should work properly).
Academy will be re-enabled as soon as the bug is closed.

All accademy/guard/knight members got shifted again to main clan.
Teorically there shouldn't be anymore issues about hidden clan members or clan leader moved somewhere else or hidden....
please let me know.

also, just for test, reduced dmg reduction from 33% to 24%, give me some feedbacks... maybe we will come back to 33% or we will keep 24% or dunno

DAMAGE REDUCTION:
Found BIG BUG in the Damage Reduction System, the reduction was 33% for physical attacks, 33% for magical skills but for physical skills there was no reduction! That's why Glads/Daggers/Archers (and all classes based to physical attack skills)  was still hitting hard. Now on servers made attack/magicSkill/physicSkill at SAME reduction and removed all nerfes. To know wich nerfes are active on the server you have to check the proper topic here in announcements<BR>


Currently all servers are running with 30% dmg reduction during PVPs

Resetted again the stuck 7signs on infinity, now got changed like other servers (1 day on 1 day off).
It will start as SEAL period so you will start with mammons active.

On Dragon:
rollbacked olympiads to the status of 25 april... olimpiads will now end (the 16th season that ended on 25th april) on the 30th of april (in 2 days).
This will make them match the olympiad time of Nightmare.
This means that also hero status after that day, got removed.

Also, now olympiads should work correctly only during evening and not all day (if is wrong, please report).


On all servers:

-Servers are still down , as you all can see, they should be soon up (drake is working on some tweaking)

-No "paranoya" about wipe,closing and staff, everything is ok and we will be up in no time, stay tuned and informed on loader.

Maybe you noticed that vote link "Doesn't working" , i can tell you it is working but top 100 is puling us down, bottom line they don't let us to be on 1st place because they receive money or they are co-owners with other l2pvt servers (same scums as top 200) , but we will try contact them and try solve that. Meanwhile you can normally vote like this:

an important notice about augmentations and the stones...
if you use a stone of higher level, it doesnt means it will give you better skills/bonuses than one with lower level!
each stone have different properties (for each stone i mean both grade and level) so can be you could get a higher % to get an useful skill taking a stone with lower level.
Some skills also are bounded to certain stones so you have 0 chances to get them with another stone.

for example... there is a neat augmentation that gives 10 seconds of invincibility (or sort of...), well... i can tell you that with the top grade stone of highest level you will never be able to get it.  ::)

Sorry about this huge downtime, is not caused by our will but the datacenter have actually some issues and since yesterday we have only half of the machines working.
This have nothing to do with the "Planned Downtime" that was announced yesterday, so that plan will have to be moved to another day.

If all goes well DNET should be back operative 100% during the night or tomorrow morning. (i can't give a real and accurate ETA because the situation is not handled directly by us but by the datacenter itself)

Later on today Nightmare and Arean will be down for maintenance and update to Hellbound. Down time will approximately be 24 hours so for those who still don't have Hellbound clients please start downloading now. This means that Arena will finally rollback to the previous state and you will be able to play again without worry.

Shortly after the server is up there will be a link to the Hellbound loader so please stay tuned for the next update on your existing loader/forum.

Because of some datacenter issues with cabling that took basically all day, we will have to delay the servers (Nightmare/Arena) by another 24hours. Sorry for the issue, this delay (this time) is not my fault.

Due to unexpected error in some files we are not yet able to open HB server on Nightmare/Arena. We are working to find/fix the code as soon as we can. This will affect the date scheduled for Dragon/Infinity to be updated. No ETA as of yet.  Thank you for your understanding.

After long period of only reading, ill use this old known topic for all updates from now on and important notice about servers.

So after downtime we got some hardware changes on machines and some fixes on database.

About gameplay(Dragon/Nightmare/Infinity):
Magic damage during pvp increased by 18%(thou cause of fixed buffbar we will let it for 1 week test to see how it goes then maybe lower it for more balance),high level items with acumen gives also 5% reuse boost.

All chars have now 20% protection VS lethal, all chars have now 20% protection VS death effects, manaburn skill reuse doubled, shield of faith reuse +50%, dagger weapon does a 30% more critical damage and this 30% affects also dagger skills damage, all dagger classes gets an additional 30% patk when using a dagger, FlameIcon now doesn't stack with AngelicIcon and it provides a similar effect but more offensive oriented.

Augmentation skills are disabled during olympiad.

Also base code of Atribute system (elemental stones..) are fully implemented, only some scripting left to do,you should be able to see it by start of Nov.
Kamael class should be fully working in a week or so, working on it atm.
You will notice soon new npc for coliseum rewords (custom one), and in a week or 2 fully working custom made underground coliseum (surprise).

Notice: All those stuffs are going to come also on Arena with a small delay.
