1. base set bonus stacks with the variant's
2. base set bonus will be just upgraded to the variant's

nope guys u think wrong about sets Apella... they are better than major , IC , or Drako set but not so good like Dynasty

About Apella sets you find some info  NM30x \ Bug Report \ Apella..

As far as i know on retail server apella is A grade and light set gives just +500cp and +cp recovery. I dont remember who but one guy on x15 buy apella light set and it gives him +cp and cp recovery
