simple plan, without desktop icons ;-) .... and with my old school CRT 1024x768 @ 100Hz Monitor ;-D

oh come on!
i'm using it since 2001 (slackware v8) and its ok for me ;-p

"using" i mean, i love just the KDE session manager and 'konsole' terminal emulator ;p (and thats all, im not using soft from KDE cause it sucks for me)

i used Gnome before, i mean 1999-2001 ;p
i tried XFCE, Fluxbox, Enlightenment too ..... but no !
