Do it, simple chippin ur car on that low engine doesn't pay off.

I would already order it but i had some problems with making a paypal account... <.< They should send me some 4 digit activation code and i should check it somewhere on some card statement and i cant find that thing so i wrote an email to the Bank where i got the VISA card xD

Was reading some Fiat forums and they say that the extra 30% of horse power wont dammage the engine, but using it constantly will do it... And im living during the week in our capital city where i even cant use this extra power, im only driving 200 km every weekend to my home where i would need the extra power cuz im driving a full car usually. Anyways the chip would also decrease the fuel consumation of the car...

Well that sounds really bad, but anyways the chips they are doing there won the best quality prise of 2008 in germany and i dont think somebody can get away by just writing smack on the net while such chips would actually give no extra performance to the car...

Did you check the test? Or is it just mentioned there without a source. And here's an example
of the worst kind of scam with chip tuning: http://obd.ec.cz/PowerBox/

The "chip" in that pic is also german, and they're still up and running. http://www.tdipower.de/

And the chips are actually different for every car you choose on the site, so they dont give you an "universal" chip for all kinds of cars.

Yes, I did realise that  ::)

You do realise that almost 30% of extra power is A LOT. Specially when you're supposed to get
it with a 200e chip. If you're seriously still going for the chip, please do a dyno-run with
it before and after the chip. You'll see why I'm badmouthing it.

Even Hestec doesn't guarantee such increases, even with turbo cars, and they provide a full
engine management-system that they tune for each car on the site. You take your car in,
they slap it on a dynamometer, monitor every single sensor available, and tune the system
by hand so they can find the best possible set-up for that specific engine.

Unichip promises 2-20% increase with on the site programmable chips, 20% obviously on
charged cars. A few examples:

BMW 325: 171->177
Nissan Almera 2.0 with performance exhaust and a "freeflow" intake filter: 159->180
Nissan Primera 2.0 149->160

These chips start at 900 euros, they install it and fine tune it.

200e is a lot of cash to pay for a placebo :P.
Flower power, bitches! And no, I'm not a beatnik.

How much would it cost me doing that?

bla forget this tomek  this chip is not rly good ,  ,,, well he not turn the life of ur engine shot , but dont turn ur car more faster too :P , u drive a FIAT  PUNTO , install a simple turbo kit with medium pressure and ok u can fell any change on speed . can u go with ur car in any automotive center of ur trust and listen Sarvi make a dyno run to check a best config for any mod to install chip or turbo to ur car ! is my sugestion  ;D

BTW in medium config in turbo ur punto can change HP to anything about 210 a 235 hp

OK, i actually still bought the chip and i already have it at home, so I'm gonna drive today to my home village (200km from here xD) and I'm gonna do some testing...  :)

I will report about the results in the upcoming days... (since we have around 30 cm snow here it will be kinda hard to do tests, but i hope that the weather is gonna get better soon  :P)

I  did a little testing today but not much since i installed the chip like 2 hours ago. (its 0.15 am here)

So the differences that i noticed were in 4th 5th and the 6th gear, they have more power and the max speed that i can reach is 190 in the sixth gear, before i couldn't drive faster than 180 in the sixth gear. The 6th gear was pretty weak before and to reach 180 kmh i needed to gear down to 5th, now i can easy reach 190 in the sixth.

Also the fuel consumption is smaller, dunno how much in average but before my car was consuming 7,2 l/100km when i was driving 140 kmh, now it was 6,0 l/100km.

So I'm kinda satisfied with the results, but i can also open up the chip and tune the car even more with 2 buttons, to have more power and some other thing that i didn't really understand :P

But i have to be a little careful as Track said, since pushing the car to the limits all the time will damage the engine and some other parts of the car.

Just tested it against a peugeot 206cc witch has 100 kg less weight and 110 horse power (mine had 90 hp) and my car needs 2-3 seconds less time to reach 150 kmh.  ;D
