Camera problems

How do I change the camera mode to be like it was in Interlude version of the game? The loader had that option to allow infinite zoom. That is one thing I want again.

The main problem I am having right now is the freaking camera keeps snapping back to behind the character. I looked at another answer given on this forum, the only one I could find and it was the wrong answer. That was changing the command bindings, not changing the camera behavior.

So I have 2 requests possibly related to each other.
1. Stopping that goddamn annoying camera from snapping back to behind me.
2. Infinite zoom.
