What to think about it? They won't be able to succeed with this, the entire infrastructure of the root "servers" is redundant is no many ways, the possibility to shut them down is minimal. They can stand still to a zombie network's DDoS aswell, given their brandwidth.

In worst case somehow, all of the roots will go down, your net life wont stop. as long as the cached data at your ISP provider doesn't run out (~2 weeks).

In short, your dn career wont stop today, eon xD
