Shop bug!

Not sure if it's a bug or it's implemented as it is, but you are not allowed to make shop EVEN if someone is next to you, without a shop. Is it a bug or you've implemented like that? I just recently found it while crafting shots with my dorf and I decided to get up and put another stack of shots in the shop and it immediatelly closed my shop(without my dorf standing up) and it said that I can't start a shop on my current place.

Also, I was going to make a topic on such thread, though I always forget.
Is it possible to make the "not allowed to make a shop "zone"" around you less than what is it right now? I really can't find a place where to sit and sell my shots in Giran. Even though you've implemented such restrict, people are still able to sit on each other's faces. Yet, I see people like me frustated about not allowed to find place to sit and sell their junks.
