Subclass Question

I looked other the forum but most infos I found belong to the other server.
Do I need to do the quests to get subclass? Fate's Whisper?
Because I saw I can buy the pipete, but the quest itself I have to do? Killing cabrio and stuff?

Do I need the sublass to get a stack sub?

talk with Astral NPC in giran, take quest when you're 78 and 3rd job done, grab Golkonda's Horn (~120kk in money, 1200 MSS or kill one of 4 quest Golkonda bosses) and talk with NPC again to get your second class.
