I´m not playing anything much as well, after League of Legends i started some Diablo3 but it is nothing that keeps you hooked such as Lineage (got like 60 playhours overall, that is ridiculous to all those hours dumped into L2 huehuehuehuehe). I heard GW2 is also trash, it is basically a singleplayer game with some occasional human controlled companions, random classes since everyone can do everything, random casual gameplay, random everything...
Outside the gaming world i´m fine, got more time to do sports, activities and relationships next door... Want to start a big party this summer still, maybe a forest GOA if i can persuade some friends here. :D

The games... nah, I'm really not too much in to games anymore. Well not the new ones I mean. The old ones I love. Spent a lot of time making map and playing the old Red Alert 1 lately. Most new games turned so bad that I no longer pay attention (well there are exceptions, like "Dishonored", etc.) But unfortunately there are no exceptions on the mmo scene.
After the failure of Tera I was pushed in to GW2. Well and i would scrape it asap if I did not turn to like my character. Eeeeh...

The issue there is that it is the most asocial game ever. You can literally finish it without saying a word to anyone else. Just run with zerg from event to event, everyone gets rewarded... is that really an mmo? Geez.... The thing with me is that Ill not cooperate unless forced to by the situation. Did not hear any good things about Blade and Soul as well, a lot of imbalance, game is completely not PVP optimized, so the only home remains Archeage, but what a glimmering hope. Well, nothing will ever beat L2C4 probably, but i want it to be at least decent.

As we talked already in the past, the main issue is the random recycling of existing elements and lack of social immersion in all those mmo titles that are made in wow-style; means: no persistent world but instances, no player-driven politics or other social mechanisms but locked fractions and regulations on your actions by design.
Similar to you, i am kinda going back to my roots - i am at this moment replaying the Thief series. Next year, a really good hd texture mod is expected for that game and i shall be overjoyed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeHiyYbiwSs :D
Apart from that i do not have high hopes for the current developments the same. Archeage remains the only hope, agree. I think in fact at this time that it is actually gonna be the game we have been waiting for since the downfall of L2. The current material on youtube at least looks more and more promising. In connection with the crowdfunding campaign for his SpaceSim StartCitizen (which i also supported, might come with a persistent online universe in Privateer/Freelancer style) they are having a 24-hour streamsession today. And guess what: right now they are talking about Lineage - since Garriot was really into the game and it made him move to NCSoft to develop Tabula Rasa (which failed as we know): https://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/
So there are some things going on, there are more people who are dissatisfied with the current "watered down" console-style games.
