Hi guys, I'm new, and I've never played L2 before.
I *tried* to play a private server before, where in i encountered this very same problem.
I have no issue with the launcher, I down loaded the Bake Ice Client, and i get no error messages or any such thing. However, when i go to enter the game, I type in my account information, click login, and then, Nothing. I would assume that if I incorrectly entered my information some message would appear telling me so, however, this is not the case. I have tried numerous time, and re-entered my account informations repeatedly, however nothing is happening.
I'm sorry if this is a common problem and I somewhere missed it under the topics. I haven't searched every single one because, frankly, "Halp plx" and "Need helps her" are not specific titles.

First of all, please follow the Install Guide - Check this before asking (http://forum.dragon-community.net/index.php/topic,120270.0.html)
Set if you did everything correctly. Maybe you are missing the message at the bottum.
"Password does not match this account Confirm your account information and login again later"
In this case, possibly your account was not created or you just entered wrong information.
I have same situation only when authentification server is off.
But atm, game servers(except for Arena) are up and auth server too.

You don't have to say that you are fool enough to ask questions in the forum with full of "Halp pl0x" topics. :o
i wish you reallly DL Interlude and didnt click on c:/ProgramFiles/Lineage II/lineage.exe cause you have updated lineage to hellbound for official server and you ll need to DL/install again interlude.
you need to use Dragon Network executable to access on our server
I have downloaded the "Total Package" from DNet.
As I said, I've never played L2 officially, so I do have interlude (I had gotten it from Fileplanet a while ago and just discovered the files recently)
The thing is, that there is no message at the bottom saying my information is wrong. It just remains written as the copyright.

Did you "Check full" on DN loader (ICE BAKER) and was it successfully done ? >.<
Yes, i did a check full, and it went through succesfully
I cannot tell the critical problem about your case. Sorry. As you wrote in the title, yes it's strange.
Plase check whole the install guide again while you are waiting another suggestion/solution. And maybe check your firewall setting (in case L2.exe cannot connect to server).
Hope you can join DN servers soon. ;)

Here's what i did.
1- I erased it all
2- Freshly installed interlude
3- Took the "Total Package" DNet
4- Moved all of those files into my Directory (C:\Program Files\Lineage 2)
5- Overwrit everything it asked me to
6- Opened up the DNet Launcher in my main directory
7- Started the game
8- Tried logging in
9- Had the same exact problem
10- Exited the game
11- Ran "Check Full"
12- It finished successfully
13- Opened the game
14- Attempted to Log in again
15- Had the same exact problem.
did you use firewall ? check if you added LINEAGE 2 in authorized list.
I added it to the exceptions list, allowed it so my computer would accept all cookies, and turned off my firewall.
However...i think i might have found my problem...
In the top left hand corner when i log in, it says "Kamael" in really exquisite letters. My sight may be deceiving me, but i think underneath it it also says "The 1st Throne". Is that a problem? I remember reading something about a Throne, but don't recall any mention to a number.
If you see the woods behind the login panel, it's IL client.
If you see the town towers and the vortex above or the raid's room in Hellbound, it's wrong client.
No, I do see a rainforest like environment. I downloaded an entirely new client and installed it, but that "Kamael" label is still in the corner.
