Well, i cant help you, except for GAMEGUARD is also my problem.
In old versions we would delet the GameGuard folder and allright, but now I cant do it run.

I'm also stuck on that screen. Even after re-install DIRECTX 9c I still have problem, my video card is yet supported (ATI RADEON 9600) runing under XP.
If someone could help to bring the error to light, I give thanks!

Sorry I don't know about GameGuard on private servers. Please try searching about L2 on Vista in Dn forums.

That might happen when running 2 x L2 on a pc. On my local, restarting client works always. (minimumize 1 game window doesn't work always. It crashes when it's opened again. Neither logging off to char select screen. At least I have to go back to login screen then open new process from ICE BAKER in task bar.
P.S It's tested on XP sp3 + Radeon 9500
