It is good only with very good equips ! Otherway it sucks alot !!! Moreover this class was weaken alot ! Only Sorc/Pal can do something ... :(
But there is one advantage like people almost not using resist fire :)

p.s.: I'm playing sorc/pp, and i can tell you that items means alot for this class !

put some fire stones/crystals/jewels on your weapon. this will help u a lot.

get some S/S80 set, and put attributes on it too, mostly against SPS and necros.
