I made this topic cause is annoying watching some classes being able to enchant their armor masteries (like tanks) and some other like me (Dagger) cannot with the current merged system. I write here all the current most used classes that plays on PVP and OLY and who are able and who not to enchant their armor masteries to see that only a limited amount of classes can enchant their mastery:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CLASS: MASTERY ENC: CLASS: MASTERY ENC:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPS/EE Robe NO SPS/ES Robe NO
SPS/SWS Robe NO PW/SWS Light NO
PW/TK Heavy YES HE/PP Light NO
TH/PP Light NO TH/PAL-DA Heavy YES
TH/PAL-DA Light NO GL/PAL-DA Heavy YES
HE/PAL-DA Heavy YES NE/PP Robe NO
NE/BP Robe NO NE/PAL-DA Robe NO
SK/AW Heavy YES SK/PS Robe NO
SK/SH Robe NO PS/SH Robe NO
TY/DE Light NO TY/DE Heavy NO
TY/WC Light YES DE/WC Heavy NO
TY/OL Light YES
Since GF some new skill Conditions has been added in Skilldata.txt which disables some skill if it sees that you are not in the appropriate class and is something like this:
operate_cond = {op_check_class_list;{CLASS ID}
I believe we can use this so someone that has let's say 2 light armor masteries can use actually only the one that is meant for active class that he is switched to, the other got disabled on wrong class.
With this we will have 3 pros:
1. Everyone will be able to enchant their masteries
2. Noone will get confuse and say for ex: WTF i should have lvl 47 mastery and i have only 22
3. Custom DNET Light/Armor masteries no needed anymore and can be deleted (Some bugs-accidental nerfs on some classes will disappear also from this)
To help you even more i checked all the masteries what classes should have then and i wrote down the ids of them:
Mastery ID: Must have classes ID:
--------------------------------------------------------
227 1,2,88,3,89,45,46,113,54,55,117,56,57,118
231 1,2,88,3,89,45,46,113,54,55,117,56,57,118
232 4,5,90,6,91,19,20,99,32,33,106
233 7,8,93,9,92,22,23,101,24,102,35,36,108,37,109,47,48,114
234 11,12,94,13,95,14,96,26,27,103,28,104,39,40,110,41,111
235 15,16,97,17,98,29,30,105,42,43,112
236 15,16,97,17,98,29,30,105,42,43,112
251 49,50,51,115,52,116
252 49,50,51,115,52,116
253 49,50,51,115,52,116
258 14,96,28,104,41,111
259 17,98
Please consider check this as it will help a lot of classes, the 99% retail like will be 99,5% :D,and because it took me some time to do this research ;D
Good job dude. I hope they will use it.
Well it seems that only tanks + tyrant can enchant armor mastery although "TH/PAL-DA Light NO" this is strange....
there are many other things which should be reviewed when remaking armor masteries
daggers dont have decreased chance of receiving critical hit in their light armor mastery
only tanks and sws/bd should have critical damage reduction in heavy armor mastery, but now everybody who has heavy armor mastery has that critical damage reduction too
if armor masteries are to be fixed this should be considered too
With this way won't be any problem. Every class will use only his original mastery. If a TH/PP for example decide to switch class from Astral while being on TH stats lvl 47 mastery will be deactivate and the lvl 41 of pp will be activate and the oposite.
They didn't any mistake.Just here we got all masteries merged on one per armor type and as a result a lot of classes can't enchant them cause in order to keep the appropriate pdef bonus most of classes have the mastery finished learning on lower lvl than full lvl so they can't enchant or they got other bonuses than aren't meant for their classes or even worse they don't get any other bonuses except pdef while they should.
Bump from the death. This thing must be looked seriously.
up.
ps. how it looks with sh/bd ? xD
