Post by: Tvit on January 01, 2014, 06:03:44 PM
Hello, i`m an old (c4,IL) DN player. I`d like to know how exactly gonna work this exp thing. Its gonna be like level 1 - rates x80... level  2 - rates x79... level 78 - rates x3? Thanks for info!

Yes, it will be like this. Rates have not been confirmed yet, but you get the picture.

haha lol, i mean exact rates i can read what GM wrotes:P
Ps If it counts i vote for lowest rate possible, so far as i played L2 low rates are always most enjoyable! (u know the % ressurection is welcome, i remeber times when i was waiting for bless res like 30min or so!) =)

il is already pain in the ass chronicle to levelup and since so many clans and players claimed their activity, fog/mos/dino/it may be not enough to hold them all :D and with crappy rates "late game" will be fckd BUT! with perma pvp there, so it has brights sides ^^

Well, you know when that info will come, aka 5 minutes prior to server launch! xd

As for the exp, IMO it sucks untill you are level 40, then the fun begins with fun pvp at cruma, fg, gc, antharas lair etc

I think the multiplier on high levels shouldn't be 1x, but min 3x. 1x is tooo slow.

Great to hear that. Also keep in mind NOT to make first 50-60 lvls too easy as well, since there is lot to enjoy in regards of both pvp and pve on low levels.

Oh yes, would be a good feature if full party was giving more exp per person than almost-full party.

You have to be careful with those kind of things, bonus could be abused.

Let's say 4 man party gives you 125% of exp per person and 5 man party gives 130%. I don't think this would be game breaking but would definitely encourage teamplay.

That way every member of party would always box additional char just for the bonus. I think retail party bonus is already fair and encourage teamplay.

Yes u could box but u would kill faster with 9 active instead of 4-5...

xp rate has almost nothing to do with items gain, ive played a lot of server and the most common isue not to pvp on low xp server was xp.  (I will rush 80 in 1st week anyway even if its pure x1)  just want someone to pvp with me and not to hear really common xcuse sry need 79 1st. you gotta need to stay at xp spots to get X items same long on x1 and x500. So just make it a little bit +++ xp rate to make a nice server.  just a protip from L2 veteran ;)  ppl are too old / busy with real to farm farm farm to get XP so they can pvp.

ha ha ha cant give protips if u r a noob.

Actually he is right, XP rate and droprate are 2 different things. However, usually droprate is adjusted to XP rate, I don't remember any server which had different rates for leveling and gearing up. It wouldn't make any sense. (maybe some 5x xp 7x drop&spoil or smthing, but really nothing huge)

Well we have no accurate information about the xp rate, neither the drop rate, and this dynamic system might mix it up a bit, so the stuff you lightened up in red from his post is actually not more noobish, than your reaction. Neither of you know what it's going to be like.

Well the stuff I highlighted r wrong for any kind of server.... Getting items is same on x1 and x500? Sure lets spam this topic proving common sense...
