Dunno if they changed it on tarantula, but it wasnt possible on dn.

If it back to old times, I answer that question... NO... in story of L2, dark elfs r enemys of Elfs... coz this cannot mix classes of those races.

EDIT: The story is so long and complicate to explain... so it's the basic of the basics.
