Are you sure there is only one PapaJin in whole world? Anyway, GM could check if these nick was made for some illegal things or players who made them, are real players.
There is also other thing... maybe someone hates you so much, and want call his dwarf who will sit in town 24h/day by 'your' nick name :D

Unfortunately some malignant people wanted to destroy fun and took nicks + clan names of others. We received many complains about it, but we cant do anything about that since everyone have a right to choose any nick that is avalaible.
I suggest to begin with different name in this case, since tarantula is fresh start anyway.

You don't have a monopoly on nicknames, i have same nick on forum and ingame as well, soo..guess what, it is available, just because you used to play with them doesn't mean they belong to you, look in the phoonebook ..there are more ppl using your name..sue them..i suggest how dare them. What..i want to create a lvl 1 char that has the xxx nickname..i will not level it or anything, but when i want that nick, i can delete char and have it available for me...soooo...why should i punished for that?

Even i fully understand you, sadly i absolutly dont have any legit right to retake name from those players who took it. Imagine the chaos i would create to start "fixing" this. Appologize to all people with this issue but this is how it goes.
My suggestion is to make other name you like and write title who is inside, donr have any other ideas.

ban + release of name is 100% guarantied.
Besides, it's easy to know that nick is stolen. low lvl char with no logins on the acc after creation.

im not arrogant at all, im just saying I have (am) playing on many EU/NA official servers different games , where if you complain that your name is stolen but that i am PRO PLAYER FROM DRAGON NETWORK and i need my name TRACKZERO or i cant play, they will probably ignore me , why im guessing this? Because they ignored me (some of them) for even more serious issues (stolen acc f.e). Archage is new game offering probably new service, althou they are talking about Clan names, not the charnames.
About Clan names there is way we can return them, and i will look upon this matter, because clearly people stole names of clans and they will remain inactive. But right now its not burning problem.

So to sum up i have never seen server that saves name for specific player and my sentence remains, if you can deny this, let me know.
2-3 After some maintenance, you mean after 4+ years players didn't logged their chars? Its not names who were deleted it was the char itself (name comes with it)
I prefer not explain you things about "when you was an active member of this community", because simply i dont have time right now. But i have arguments you cant beat on this.

1st. Check if nick with that names are got lvl 1 to be sure.
2nd. U know that exist other servers and a lot NEW ppl comes here? Example is JustSpirit.
We all good know that this nick play Awe long time. But u dont know that on other servers

Same as big clans are part of gaming world for a new game, the old known nicks on dnet are a part of this community.
ofc in other game/network i woudn't even think about protecting nick FlamingAwe, but if anyone would use it in this server, inside Dnet, it would be ... weird. (and noone took it actually xD)

when i log in game i fastlly create 2 chars one with name Nostradamus and 1 with name NIORI, but now i want my name to be named NIORI and not Nostradamus and my main sps(Nostradamus) is level 51 no way to start again level up and 2 ocupation i playd like 18 hour those 2 last days :P any help of changing name is Welcome :)
