Title: Decrease background performance option
Post by: Selo on January 22, 2014, 03:51:04 PM
As we all know, from CT 2.1 Lineage 2 cient allow you to check or uncheck this option, causing innactive l2 window go to sleep and reduce framerate. There is no way to disable this option in Interlude chronicle without modyfing the files.

Fyyre made custom file named noSleep.dll, fooling kernel32.Sleep which helps L2 window act as foreground app and not decrease framerate to 1.
I do not want to mess with DN protection system and modify it by myself as I am full legit and it could end with random ban  :D

I'm asking if there is an option you could implement this into launcher, giving us option to check or uncheck 'decrease background performance' option.

For this to work you need custom fire.dll and mentioned above nosleep.dll. I can even provide needed files.
Cheers!

done, i managed to directly write the fix inside core.dll so there are no hanging dlls around doing "uncertain" (aka: written by others) stuffs, will probably come in one of next client updates (right now i'm working on tracking down the random client crashes reported)
