You are just unlucky. We were there for 7-8 hours top and we got at least 4 boots and 4 gloves recipe. Today we didn't even tried to farm those just killed a few Watchman here and there and we got another boots recipe.
Both the Buffalos and the Watchmans dropped the boots recipe. Homunculus works just fine too with the gloves recipe.
Beast farm on the other hand is pretty much freaked up. It's like 3 times harder to spoil than it was a few days ago. It wouldn't be a problem if it would've been like that since the beginning, but it's really freaked up that they changed it AFTER some people got everything they needed there.
