Title: proxies
Post by: blacksky on February 16, 2014, 08:37:35 PM
Hey!

This usually happens to me several times a day:

I log in choosing the lowest ping p. (EU1 27ms)
after playing a while (sometimes 20 mins, sometimes 3-4 hours) i get either extreme lag and/or disconnect
When using multiple clients it happens, that 1 client DCs, other one stays IG but i got control back in like 5..10+ mins, or it disconnets after 5..10+ mins of frozen screen
After DC when i log in and i can see all proxies up and running, but i cant connect through EU1 or EU2, only EU3.

Then again after a while the same happens, but i can connect only through EU1.

Pretty frustrating, i die most of the times

Thanks in advance

If you have an issue with one p., just switch to the other one.

I know that the system may look like crap but think carefully:

with p.:
you lag, a node is under stress/ddos. Simply change p. and all back as before.

without p.:
you lag, server is under stress/ddos. Server down in the hands of attacker: no options.

How many times we may change p.?...
On all EU proxies we got random disconects, RU and RO have few seconds spikes. US One? We are from Europe.
If you pay for them REQUIRE quality.
Example from today: We were doing 4s and BAM half of party got dc in last room, ported out after logging in. What if that will happen on some epics?

It's crap solution.

If you crash at epics you have some time to log back and you remain there.

P.S We pay shitload already dont worry :(

would be better to get decent ddos protection, but guess what, it cost.

It costs and we are paying premium.
If you have better companies to suggest us: link.
We may take it in consideration for the upcoming months

it's just that getting 3-4-10 logins to avoid ddos is not working so well, since we start lagging on any of them after a while, and switching login everytime for 10-20 mins lagless is just frustrating.
