When i equip any kind of shield, my p.def stats don't change. Still the same value like it was before. :(

It doesn't work like that, your shields defense only counts if you let's say get hit from front and your shield blocks it (based on shield defenserate and buffs). When you block it, the pdef of your shield absorbs some of the dmg.. But you can't see it on your stats
