So I got a new machine here and installed L2 and after I press Start in the loader this window appears:

2010.7.8 13:33:21
OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) (it's win7)
CPU : GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 2676 MHz with 1023MB RAM (intel core i5 750 + 2 GB RAM)
Video : ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series  (6095) (HD5750)
PosCode : LS1:0:0:0 4/0

General protection fault!

History: FL2GameData::ClientDataLoad <- FL2GameData::Load <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

I tried to run it in different ways and tried 'As Admin' but nothing :/ I did full check as well.
I've played here before the OS was WinXP SP2 (that time the configuration was different) but it worked without problem.

If anyone know how to solve the problem please write it in hear!

Thanks in advance

1: nice cpu :D
2: try delete system folder and download it again from dragon-network.net
3: try totally reinstall l2

1. Try as they told already, reinstall Lineage and download DN Patch
2. Windows XP shouldn't be "like" Windows 7 - fits more Vista

Maybe
- firewall blocked client and / or loader
- forgot to patch with DN files
- did you copied them in the right (same) folder
- did you downloaded the right client (kamael C5.1)
- forgot to open ports

I tried both ideas what Piccy wrote. It still says GPF after I pressed on the Start button.
And I do downloaded the right client (I've played with this copy before on this server); patched the DN files correctly and to the right place; and I don't have to open any kind of ports, since I don't have router between the modem  and the PC.

Maybe I'm gonna return back to XP but I don't know, maybe the game doesn't like that the OS is 64 bites, becouse I'd use XP 64 bites (the previous configuration was 32 bites).

Or maybe the driver of the VGA which couse this whole thing? Maybe the memory is which is not enough?

Please write some more ideas!

And thanks again!

Wouldn't think so eastarhun.

Just to play around with - did you try to change the whole windows back to clean windows or another version?
Because.. windows xp doesn't know more then 4 gb ram, 2 gb mostly for itself and 2 gb left for other functions

So, try to get back whole windows xp without patched "crap" or just try a safed copy from a friend (Vista or Win7)
and change it to 64bit version and try again.

Sounds bad and annoying, but had same problem there.
Even my stupid Adobe Creative Suite didn't worked well with XP and Vista, not to talk about Win7 !
Mostly it could be old drivers also, just check that up.

If still nothing works, feel free to contact me and i try to help.

The VGA driver refresh did not work :/
I'll wait until Monday... Then I'll have 4 gigs of RAM maybe that'll help before I try installng OSs.

Thanks the help!

I got the other 2 GB RAM earlier nothing has changed :/

I'll change the OS then I guess...
