=== HOW TO MAKE A GOOD SCREEN ===

Follow these points carefully for the best result:

1- Zoom in on your char. The more pixels, the better.
2- Set graphics to high, and turn anti-aliasing on. Dont use any shaders!
3- Sunlight should hit your character on the front. This gives a better contrast.
4- Behind your character there should be a clear light sky. This gives a better result when cutting out.
5- Make sure you set the screenshot-setting to BMP (bitmap).

One of the best locations is just north of Rune. From Rune take the exit that leads to the harbor, and just when you are out of Rune there are some mountains on your right. Stand on the top of them during daylight and make the screenshot.

Note that maximum signature size on this forum is 500x200, usually i will make 400x200, but other resolution (within reasonable limits) are possible too.

think twice before using outter glow, most of those sigs suck cause of it, get more fonts and try adding less crap to them

I see allot fo crap in your signature, and the outer glow is just hidious.

Try to get some more practice.

Your signature is not ugly though, i think its a nice first (or perhaps second) try.

It is kinda nice. The dragons make it look aggresive.

The dragon in the back is cool, but i have seen it many times.

The dragon in the front is low quality, and thus somewhat ugly.

The colours used are quite randomly, try to tune the RGB balance of the different layers. Now you have brownish-red, red, blacker-red, orange-red.

The render has some remaining pixels around it. (Should be cut better.)

The outer glow doesn't look great.

Try to blend the font a bit, it looks like it was put on in paint.

The shade on the char doesn't work for me, and the red scratches right of the shade look like a windows 95 pinball game background.

The background seems a little messy to me.

-the dragon is not low quality, I sharpened the image to make it look agressive, it's a part of the grunge style

-the colors are not random, greens and reds, to match antharas and valkas, every1 can see that...lol except you

-there are no left-over pixels, all renders are hi quality, those are either due to sharpen or a brush

-there is not an outter glow, that brush work (GG)

-I agree with the font blending, that would look nicer, thx for the tip

-and psssst...thats not a shade, thats a duplicate layer with low brightness, that pops out due to the red rush

-Messy Background? = grunge


Im not gonna argue with u on styles, cause every1 has its favorite, but you got poor visual culture, Im not telling your work sucks, Im just saying youre too stuck with that style of yours, which in my opinion, needs some improvements. I like 1 or 2 of those sigs, but you gotta understand, for eyes like ours, every little error pops up, cause we are the ones who make the sigs. I totally respect your work and if I said they suck cause of the glow, you should be thankful for me being so honest, I learn this stuff at school, andf I get confronted alot by my teachers "that sucks, start over"   no1 likes it, but its true and helps improving your work.

I looked a second time to my sig when you pointed all that stuff you didnt like, I understand, still I dont agree and I pointed out my reasons, besides im not competing, actually I hate coimpetition, I was just looking for a contructive tip, but you got pissed, I've done stuff like this for years, and believe me it's not my 2nd try I got stuck with grunge like you did with style of yours, here's a proof Im not a newb at this, ans that I have many other skills besides photoshop

I checked out some websites about the "grunge" style and i must say it is interesting. Next time, ill try to do some grunge myself.

I can see you are indeed not a noob. Maybe i can add you too msn, i can show you some work in progress sometimes, and maybe get some nice tips.

Yeah I said "they suck cause of.." and not completely, well honesty makes u a better person so I always go straight to the point, i get alot of that in schol , and the crap is understandable, cause we always want to fill that empty corner, still sometimes it's better to leave it that way rather than unballancing the final outcome.

and yeah sure u can add me, I'd be pleased to see your stuff and give u some tips, I'll expect the same from u, feel free to add me anytime ^^
