Xfire question

For those who use Xfire while playing games .. is there a way for xfire to detect L2 while playing DN ? .. coz i tried many times and the program doesnt see the game and the beeps is annoying xD

never tried, but steam does. If you add l2 to your steam list, you can use the steam overlay, chat, etc....

i dont like steam .. i use xfire for like 4-5 years .. the program is cool but its only freaked up with L2 .. i guess the gameguard of l2 blocking xfire to detect it

Edit file xfire_games.ini

Replace current L2 settings with this:

[4215]
LongName=Lineage II
ShortName=lin2
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NCSoft\L2Client_us\workingdir
LauncherExe=DragonNetwork.exe
DetectExe=DragonNetwork.exe

the one in program files or program data or both ? and what do u use to run the game .. dn loader or exe from game folder or u run it from system ?

Depends on which OS you have. If Vista then replace it in Program Data, if Xp then in Program Files.

I've used DragonNetwork.exe to run.

If you'll have problem, then change in Xfire options to detect Lineage 2 manually (after changes in xfire_games.ini) and path should be like this: C:\Program Files\Lineage II (not Lineage II\System as before)

i have windows 7 but its pretty much teh same as vista .. anyway i did it all as u said.. xfire detected l2 when i opened the loader but when i started the game it didnt detect it anymore

i replaced the launcherExe amd DetectExe to L2.exe and i select in system folder .. now it works fine i guess ... coz when i run DN loader and click starts .. it goes to l2.exe in system folder .. it works now , thanks alot

btw: it should work this way (at least works for me): change only the DetectExe to system\L2.exe - this is the exe, that Xfire checks if is running (: If you leave the LauncherExe=DragonNetwork.exe, then you can run the game through Xfire (I don't mean detection, I mean starting the game) ^^

the problem on each xfire update , u have to edit the file again and again and its gets very annoying :/
