I think Windows install all drivers what u need. Make a Windows Update. Or i saw a program what checked drivers for everything and install.

If you know name of motherboard (if not open pc and check it) go to producent site and download drivers for your model. But if you have correct drivers on cd you should check some auto install option:P

may be his audio isn't on board.
I can offer u if u try previous steps and u don't succeed to pm me.I got cracked software that can detect download drivers for u.

r3qu13m

easiest way for u is to use everest or such sw to determine the hw type/manufacturer/version
if ur snd is HD and u r not using spdif (sony-philips digital interface) make sure ur snd card is not set to use digital output -- for sure u got a "snd deck" at ur systray after successfull driver and sw installation so u should be able to configure almost everything

btw NEVER USE drivers suplied by M$ and never install such updates..use drivers suplied by apropriate vendor

most general problem with snd is that wrong setting of digital/analog output, cuz is misunderstanded by users a bit and winblows sets sometimes spdif as default
