Quick Crystal Leveling Guide
You can get soul crystals of any of the three colors for free (well actually 1 crystal costs 50k SP) by asking the master of the mage guild in Giran, Oren or Aden about Enhance your weapon quest. You will also get a list of mobs on which you can level the soul crystal. Then you have to level up the crystal by yourself. The other way to obtain a soul crystal is to buy it from other players
While talking to NPC about the quest you can receive only 1 crystal at a time. To obtain more you must either drop it on the ground, trade to someone else or put it in warehouse, then talk to NPC again. Of course there is no limit for crystal count you can carry.
Information about what color and stage you need for desired SA for your weapon can be found at Blacksmiths or (of you do not possess the weapon at the moment) a complete list is available in http://www.dragon-community.net/sa.html.

Leveling a crystal up to stage 10
Leveling a soul crystal is done by fighting any of the mobs on the list, an when it is at half health or below, use the soul crystal (right click in inventory, or move it to your quick bar and use it from there). No matter who damages the monster, you must use the crystal when HP is below 50% and do the last hit. If monster gets (self)healed, regenerated, etc. and it's HP goes above half hit points, you have to reduce it again and then use the crystal once more. It's up to you do decide if you level the crystals in stages by doing the low crystal levels on low level monsters, and so on, or simply don't waste time and go to harder mobs and do all levels there. If more than one player uses a soul crystal on the monster at the same time, the one who gets last hit is the one that gets a level attempt on that mob. Soul Crystals of lower levels (up to maybe 7) are not that hard to get. Levels 8 and 9 are still manageable. At stage 10, leveling becomes a real pain - prepare yourself to break many dozens of soul crystals before you succeed - actually it's the matter of luck
Important: You must not have more than one soul crystal in your inventory when leveling it, or it won't work. So either drop the unnecessary crystals on the ground somewhere hidden, or give them to a friend to carry them for you.

After the death of the mob, there are four possible results:
- Nothing happens: You have done something wrong: used the crystal too early, didn't get the last hit, low level mob (deep blue), wrong mob or you don't have the quest Enhance your weapon.
- The soul crystal resonates: Make sure you have only one crystal in your inventory.
- The soul crystal was not able to absorb a soul: You did all right but no luck - try again, the crystal stays.
- The soul crystal succeeded in absorbing a soul: Hooray! You did it - you leveled up the crystal by 1 level. It will be replaced with a higher stage crystal (note, the crystal will be removed from quick bar).
- The soul crystal shatters: You did all right but no luck - the crystal is destroyed and all is lost. Get a new crystal in order to continue.
- The soul crystal is refusing to absorb a soul: The monster level is too low, move to higher mobs.


Leveling a crystal to stage 11 and 12
For creating stage 11 and 12 crystals, there are the following changes:

You can only level a crystal to stage 11 and 12 on Anakim, Baium, Lilith, Antharas, Valakas, Zaken, Anakazel(68) (unconfirmed), or Ember (unconfirmed).
An entire party can level up crystals to stage 11 or 12 at the same time. You do not need to drain or do anything else. You only have to make sure that you only have one crystal in your inventory (level 10 or 11) and that someone in your party gets last hit. So you can level up to 9 crystals each time you kill one of these bosses.
You cannot fail at leveling a crystal to stage 11 or 12 as long as your party got last hit on the boss, unless its a lesser boss like Anakazel(68) or Ember. Note: Reflect Damage can get last hit.
A crystal can never break when attempting to level.
Leveling a crystal to stage 13.
For creating stage 13 crystals, there are the following changes:

You can only level a crystal to stage 13 on Antharas, Valakas, Ember or Anakazel(78),
An entire party can level up crystals to stage 13 at the same time. You do not need to drain or do anything else. You only have to make sure you only have 1 crystal in your inventory (stage 12) and that someone in your party gets last hit.
You cannot fail leveling a crystal to stage 13 on Antharas and Valakas. Ember and Anakazel(78) are not 100% success rate and each individual member of the party has a failure rate on leveling.
A crystal can never break when attempting to level.

Good guidance.
It doesn't matter if a target mob is blue or red from player char. If it's done on right mobs, SC will react, right ?
I had lvled lots of crystals at doom knights(from 3 kinds) with my Lv.78 char.

indeed it doesn't matter if the mob is blue but i think i changes the % to succed but i have to do a lot of tests on that also . anyway someone post this on dnwikki maybe u Finisterre. i thinks is complete about crystals.

One question:
Anakazel can lvl up,crystals lvl10>11 and 11>12>13 or not?

For my experience NOT thats why its (unconfirmed) ,only from 12 > 13.

but i also stated that the Anakazel to lvl 11 and 12 its not the one on hero part rift dimension must be in the lvl below catacomb we can only make sure if a party goes there all with crystals and try it out .

remember Anakazel (lvl 68) not 78 and its not 100% sure u can lvl up crystal i belive its about 4% for each party member.
(there is one RB per LVL in rift dimmension startin on Anakazel lvl 28 u need lvl 68 for crystal 11,12 and 78 for crystal 13)

talk to Rift Post Commander and not Rift Post Hero make sure ur lvl is bettween 60 - 76.
if u can test it for us we could take out any doubts we have this far.

@ shadow ember lvl up 13 with a minimum chance .
@dragon lvl up 13 @rift dimension.

remember its about 3% or 4% chance . so its on luck


atiqua tested it dunno wich server.

First of all, thank you for your work with this essay. But,is it now confirmed by any GMs? We tried it, and it did not work :/ Maybe chance is rly low, but lvl 78 Anakazel made 12->13 for the first try (all ppl had the "Enchance your weapon" quest, but not all members had cry in inventory).
