Where is the balance????

When you activate Deflect Arrow, being SWS, means you have 24% less damage received and the drawback, as caster and not a proper tank, is -6% cast speed.
So basically against an Archer, by losing 6% DPS you gain 24% more resistance. Thats gives you a 18% (24-6=18) advantage toward your your opponent damage.
Seems all fine here.
Create sps/sws , and compete at the Olympics against hawk/pp , and see what happens ! when there is a SKILL Ellementa heall - which is not vosstanavlivaet HP as much as he has the power ! and with sws when at the Olympics without acumena 750 cast sped including Deflekt Arrow are Perfectly 550
I dont see Balans from Oly , !!!! More ppl cnow this !
Not to mention that oly not equals lineage 2.
When making char you should think how you want to play this game:
- oly farmer?
- pve farmer?
- spoiler/crafter?
- clan supporter?
- outside oly pvp,sieges,random pvp around map?
- raid farmer?
In other words there is no universal char for everything mentioned above, else there would be just 1 class on the selection screen. In addition you can make several chars and try to be a top in most of sections.
Now, the last but not least, we could run clean client with no balanced nerfs and mutants allowed, that would result following:
There would be few sick op combos, players would start to leave massively, by the time we fix those they would never come back. Now by fixing those op combos , owners of those chars would rage quit . And its not over yet, nerfing x makes people demand other y nerfs, so there you go nerfs over nerfs which brings chaos and instability. In the end you have -80% players and bad voice going around the globe.
We have taken the course that brings balance, no coruption and fairness to everyone since day 1. I do believe this is a good approach on longer terms, but some people spoiled badly over time demanding sick things and dropping for ridiculous reasons .
Do so when put on by resist against fire, water darkness is not important, let them be cut stat too ! Why not,,,,,???? Where is the justice ,,,????

In 2008 archers were nerfed,3 months later,sub stack got nerfed,in tarantula,there is no combat haste,damage pot there isnt here,mana pot there isnt here,also 25 % less damage ,tattos doing +power then baium and queen ant,yes we players are pathetic ! Kabally is right though, most of the times it's actually less than 1.2k damage per critical hit (fullbuff). We don't expect to 1 hit another player but critical damage and chance is pretty much all that archers can rely on as they have very few usefull skills. If an HE subs as a PP (which is all he can really do to compete with other self buffer classes) it still won't enhance crit chance and damage enough to get a crit or two out. If fullbuffed out of the Olympiad you can't get enough damage to compete with mages I can only imagine in Oly as a PP/HE. Doesn't look like a good case scenario for archers IMO. As you said, there can't be a universal char that will excel at all roles, but as of now archers aren't really good at anything to be honest.

I'm trying to explain , I am not able to use svoim character at the Olympics ! And the Olympics is given on acumen I don't have enough speed caste to restore the HP ! At the Olympics it is not complete ( I'm not saying that it should be IMBA )

True. But mages don't rely on chance. You know how much damage you will deal and you can plan your strategy right from the get go. Archers deal that amount of damage if PROPERLY fullbuffed. Kabally dealt that damage with cat buff+dance+song+chants. At OLY (which is the subject of the topic) all you have is pp buffs. Besides mages that can heal themselves while dealing damage at the same time always have an advantage as they don't have to waste time casting a healing spell, OL+WC and BD+SE are good examples of that. It's true that they might have to ignore their cast speed to get a Mana Tattoo but so do the archers have to chose crit damage over chance or attack speed. It will become even worse when the mages start getting Wild Magic LVL 9 by augmentation.
PS: By the way, QQing doesn't mean Crying. Alt+Q+Q is the shortcut to exit the game in Diablo II. If someone was just too bad at the game you would tell them: "QQ please". Just to get the facts right :-X

In this same topic there is a complain about a MAGE getting owned by a ARCHER and an ARCHER complaining doesnt deal enough damage toward MAGES.
Seems balanced as both sides are complaining.
About the buffs in oly, the reason they was removed is obvious: SUBCLASS SYSTEM as the rules of Acumen/WW/Haste dont apply correctly here as you could be something totally different than what NCsoft expected you to be in oly when entering.
BUT we can discuss (in the other topic) about a buffer NPC that gives SAME buffs to any class.

How about pow/emp3/acu3 replaceing acu1 and empower lvl1 ? I mean, if u give pow yourself u suddenly lose the acu1/emp1, so if u give empower3, emp1 will be replaced and acu1 will be lost, untill pow goes off. Lets say you put an npc which gives btb/acu1/ww1/emp1/haste1/might1/button to refill your mana, and you can choose 3 of those actions.
This could give non oly chars players some chance to face some of the opponents and chars such as sps/ee wont get stronger.

Deflect arrow was good as it was (no drawbacks), and the same applies to other nerfs. All of these are totally useless, except the "non stacking mastery" nerf.
Of course where balancing is really needed, there no any changes, and the reason is always "it's like this on retail".
