My thoughts after my first week of play

You are right about seal of limit (check my other topic about donny prices),

But are you sure Set S from vote systems don't work? When i tried it (like weeks ago) they were working... Anyway, one thing is to get FULL GROUP  a grade set, another is to get ONE tallum heavy set for de/ty and leave sws/dancer in b grade, better then nothing, no?
1x Set A for de/ty >>>>> easier then 3-4-5x (how many ppl you are guys?) Sets...

Also you need seal of limit only for HB, insteaf for fog lower (s recipes)/stakato nest (ALL MATS) you just need de/ty in A or S grade and buffers... If they have this they can farm mats and use them to craft Sets/Weapons or SELL those mats and buy items...

That is true only 1 set for the ty/de is easier than several sets for all of 'em, at least for now, they'll all need/want sets eventually lol

I do understand what you're saying, but I still find the idea of us having to lvl, gear and sub 3/4/5 different chars, which we actually had no intention of playing at all, just in order to get some gear for the chars we do want to play.. well weird. And by saying gear, we're talking about mats and recipes.. We're actually still not planning on creating buffbots. I know it's very common on the server, but we're actually gonna play the support char actively (HE/PP, SWS/PW, BD,PR, etc.) and to be honest, none of us wants to be alt+tabbing all the time or run multiple clients (call it ease of play if you want).

I'm aware we're not doing it the "right" way at this moment, but I hope you understand that a server needs to cater to the less hardcore crowd (not gonna say casual, L2 is not for casuals  ) as well. I'm not expecting, and have no desire, to get the best stuff ASAP (as said earlier, we don't mind putting work into obtaining good items) or being forced to follow the most efficient possible way to farm just to gear my char a bit decently for PvP on a Mid-rate PvP focused server.

Regarding those S wpns and S armor sets you get from voting. It's actually 1 vote coin + 10kk for 24h (good deal if you play 24h in a row  ) . To be honest, I've actually completely ignored those items because they're only temporary and I could use every single adena I get from drops/sales much better on saving for actual equipment.

Anyway I don't want to focus the discussion on my/our situation situation that much. I'm more concerned about getting a healthy population back to the server. So do you guys all agree that nothing should/could be done to improve the situation for newcomers? It's possible that I'm the one who's just being a pain in the ass, but even after having read all your comments, I still don't see how a new player isn't just going to quit the server after a few days after noticing how much effort he/she'll have go through in order to catch up.

But after reading your last sentence i have to add this part:
