which is exactly true:
tank subs aren't dearly needed anymore because all fighter classes are pretty much nerfed, the major DD (archer) being a super pussy now.

however tank subs aren't that resilient against mages (by design), so if you want a character that lives long, there's only one solution and that's TP. that's why people favor classes like SH/PS:
- quite awesome casting spd for a SH
- best matk you can think of
- wind *and* dark attacks (good luck having all resists to that, let alone half resists to it)
- @! TP!
- very short reuse on pet ud (your pet will not die)
- very high pet hp (19K - TP will be extremely useful)
- good all around skills (banes, cubics, etc)
- silence
