Dear players , i need your advise and suggestion for few things.
Apart upcoming changes , already mentioned , there are few ones that will be applied next week as well.
- Bonuses for new clans
- New players starting kit
- Challenges in game , rewarded nicely
- Instanced pvp dungeons (under development, after done, there will be open beta so everyone can try them out so we can adjust them and fix eventual exploits)
However , i need suggestion toward something else:
- Shell we add all SB in shops? If yes can someone be so kind and tell me which ones are missing?
- Which recipes of armors/weapons are pain in the ass to farm, regarding chance to be dropped/spoiled?
- I am building area custom made in game, that will have special mobs for extremely nice drop/spoil. Whole are will be pvp zone, of course.
However, i need to know what do you think it will motivate players to go there? Which things you suggest i should place there on drop/spoil?
Please be rational on suggesting, because my intention is not to brake the market , but in fact to make constant pvp actions.

1) Imo adding sb will not be gamebreaking and will actually helps out starting here (excluding dino SB, the 3rd+class should be only drop)
2) A-grade gloves for sure , maybe s-grade armor parts cos they need lv5 ally but thats not so big deal i think for top-class stuff
3) Would be cool if this mobs would have reflect (gtfo ty/de dualbox farming) and be enough strong to have be taken down by full parties. (some balanced pdef/mdef stats so both mage and fighter parties can do well there). And i think if this zone would be available only like 2hours a day like GoE, could be great.

3) -my intention is to make 2 zones . One will be opened on time schedule (with supreme drop/spoil) and ofc harder mobs , and 2nd zone , 24/7 open (also good drop/spoil) a bit less hard mobs but still hard enough;
But i need suggestion what kind drop/spoil can attract people, but yet not to destroy the economy nor to make prices worth 1 adena?

Yes indeed, 1 full pt should be minimal requirement.
A grade weapon parts/recipes from Dino quest(regardless of event reward)
All a grade armor recipes obtained from drop, eventually quest ones like mj light armor etc.
B grade stuff like avadon parts, doom/bw recipes etc.

The server itself and the ideas behind it are great , but still can get better/more interesting.
You can add some more competetive world bosses (like let's say a signature tatantula look alike something to add the server a unique character) , higher grade shadow items with a diffrent limitation for newcommers (last time i've played tara B were max), higher variety of buff for newcommers . Diffrent effects to orfen/core jewelery & higher lvl's to make people fight for them.
Some custom quests (mby for the "tarantula bos") with some cool description (mby make an event with ideas for it).
Generally adding more content(prehaps consumable) to create any sort of action & things to compete for so they don't have to wait from one epic spawn to another.
Things that force player initiative. Think out of the box and look at other mmo's aswell.

Yes add them Track untill lvl 76 they pain in the ass they should been added since begin it will not affect nothing.It will just make ppl more happy.
Remember when server start in 1st month for some pp books in frozen labyrinth wasted more than 10+++h for 3 books the rate is 0.0000001 %.

Hey Felo, thank you for suggestions. Now let me answer to them.
- I am developing new models of bosses , im rebuilding mesges/static meshes from some unreal engine 1-3 games. May be, i will create something really nice soon. Im experimenting/testing once im happy with the result, i will upload new mobs/raids. Defo, it will be some BIG tarantula, which was the plan from start (but simply didnt had time for it). In addition to that, this new bosses will be part of the event control the town.
- I already said in some of the previous posts, i am planning to make packages for newcomers up to S grade (shadow). That will be done next week hopefully.
- You didnt log recently, we already have NEW buffer npc for newcomers.
- Well mana potions will be back, herbs will be implemented on special zones that will requier some party activity of high levels. Defo we wont put them on lvl 15 walker zones.
And about thinking out of the box, believe me we are developing something great in that direction. And development is going great, actually i cant wait to reveal it ;)

Some weekly events like happy hour for whole day with x2 xp/sp, or random mob x6-7hp of 40-60lvls spawning with nice drop(event coins, C,B enchants - very rare blessed -, rare full item C/B armor or very rare weapon drop)

We have daily events, for all levels available...Lets not make this server to be Event server please. I do believe we have plenty of events and great rewards as well. I even reward kindly just for nice pics/video for whole month as well.

2] remove the drawbacks of having a deflect arrow buff ... since tanks are not playable now
3] the Angelic Icon is useless for th/pala ..or anything combined with pala...i suggest reworking it to intended effect
4] include mana pots/drugs in the game so we can see more mages/bishops etc.
5] Look on the evasion since its not working properly ... with evasion tattoo,UE a song of the wind i got hit from an archer 3 times from 5 shots

easy spoil drop for A grade also foked up marketing bcs will be many of A grade then on market now its fine bcs ppl enchanting losing items ... and they must farm for new one ... so they stay online ingame ... also S grade if u wanna S grade u must farm ... (for what there easy spoil ... ),
Books are good thing (0-76 ) in shop ,3rd class for drop its good thing also )

1) I would consider reworking them into +%skilldmg bonus but then QQ glads do more damage (in mass pvp they shit on oly op, so it wont change much :D)
2)It was fine for pretty long amount of time, i dont think thats the problem nowadays, although top mage and archer parties should talk about that with gm's. As far as i remember when excidium mage pt was playing they didnt qq about archers >.>
3)Having pdef/mdef/speed/debuff resist is pretty big when playing solo or oly, any changes could be overbuff and creating op class
4) Think about fighters like tanks, daggers, healers, who sit on full buff most of the time and dont have slots on any sh1t (as a dagger with 4lvl DI i couldnt afford to use more selfbuff than dash+focus power while i had like ue/mirage, not including sub skills...)
5) This one actually i think was working corrently, while under UE i was pretty much evading most of attacks on me. OFC when opponent is full buffed archer with sniper tattoo's, he will land atleast 50+% of hits anyway

Lemme clarify the first point of my suggestions .... since an archer with full buff can sit nicely on max crit. rate and doing quite a lot of dmg per shot, why would you enhance it with such tattoo like Mahum which gives archers a big advantage over all the other classes...many ppl will say that Mahum tattoo is good for dagger and maybe some other classes, but still you need to close distance with a dagger or other melee class to actualy do something and its almost impossible to do it in mass pvp...
And this is not me hating or crying over archers ... i just wanna see other classes in pvp. Maybe reworking or removing that tattoo will help a bit

a) weekly oly is planned for 3 weeks now; reason? Activity , unlike last 7 days of the month logging to transfer (even Dragon x15 will copy idea from us)
b) prices are lower, means majority of non rich players can get those things? Superb then!

There is absolute 0 corruption on the server, nor any of the changes are made to fort fill damands of any clan. I simply dont care which clan/ally you belong, you are all equal to me.Changes are made for the current situation on the server to give more fair chances to everyone and to bring more actions, in addition to this, there will be new things coming out next week from Tarantulas development team.

If its so easy as you say, why you dont make 1 red weapon? On top of that, why none made OP weapons so far?
In fact, why do you think NCsoft made up ++ routines? Also, where is the problem someone legitly make ++ weapon?Maybe my (
players) only goal in l2 is to create ++ weapons (or at least to try to), so if player works hard and invest time in game and his funds legitly made in game in something thats called enchanting should we accuse him for that or even disable him from using it? Really, this story about "OP" items is overrated. In fact, it is mostly based on jealousy and incompatibility to do same. However real enchanter will always show you the success , never the other (black) side of FAILURES and ITEMS braking he is facing.(i do know how much they brake and fail because i read logs daily)
P.S Never forget that we dont have armors/weapons/jewels available on donny,unlike many other servers and their pay-to-win concept. Yet their servers are "zerged" (unlimited bots as well) and none of their players complain THIS much on their forums. In fact, 0. But i guess its how i should be treated for the hard work.

If I would play I'd like to see:
1. Even if I'm an archer player, 6-7k hits on +6 sets it is way to much. Have a 1k-1.2k range for archers and 800 for mages ( kite ) but reduce the damage they deal ( in pvp )
2. Reduce cancel removing buffs ( to many cancels , maybe spirit chant does a good job? )
3. Boost dash / speed on mele fighters
4. Increase respawn time of epics, downside random +2/4 hours tops ( it's an old game, old people play )
5. Special zones ( TBA )
6. Make clans that can hold up to 40 players, like C4 and add 12 clans ally ( more clans, more politics, more drama )
7. AQ, Zaken, Orfen, Core zones to kick out players +10 lvls above the epic.
8 This is the 2ed beer and I don't care that much. Rumuhahaha.
i think that custom changes wont attract any newcomers.
also it's not the best time, because rpg club is opening new server next month and there is EU official merge also next month.
if i were running dn i'd try to catch some of the peoples that will quit those servers. and to do so, i think you need some fresh start near early-mid november (or update to hb or w/e, just no custom lolpvp server).
just imagine you're new guy on this server starting right now. the only opponents you can find is a 2 parties of +10 draco bow guys. so to catch up, you have to farm hard for 1-2 months and eventually you'll find out that you win some % of fights, but there's no rly serious pvp going on, so whats the point of playing?

1. That story is a bit overrated , you can see/find videos for very long lasting pvps without "6k" damage (which btw is not constant, just on crits). In fact what matters is setup of the archer 1st, does he have duel might lv10 or not? (major importance) , 2nd (sadly) enemies after so many years still dont know to buff (majority of them still uses zerk and war chant, i have nothing against it if you adapt your gameplay for it). I have seen archers hitting bishop of FC for 3+K (which is half from what players complain). Bottom line, there must be proper setup on both sides, attacker and defender. If you dont know how to do it, ask , or accept being wiped.

Aren't you ashamed of what bullocks you just said? 1stly i dont care what others open/close/wipe/w.e, we are doing our things how we think we should do, listening our community and creating something different than others.
What custom changes are you talking about? Those are modifications tend to bring more action, however this is private server with customs,same as everyone else are. If you want to play official , its f2p.
I would LOVE to catch more clans and make them to try Tarantula, however none of dn staff will ever run to other forums and spam about that.I know others doing it massively , even reward for it (they have event for that LOL) , but it aint our style. If you want some quitting clans to join here, well be so kind and advert your server to them and bring them on.
New guy on Tarantula? EXTREMELY EASY and even more easier to be competitive vs others. Look whats majority of players gear and please give me a brake with stories of 2 full parties of +10 draconic ... And yes , you have to farm to get items, unlike pay 2 win concept.
Tarantula is classic old-school L2 server, not for everyone, but for serious players. We also dont wipe/close/re-open servers each 3 months to gain cash, while on other hand seems that l2 predators keep joining same servers all over , even after open/close/re-open (interesting concept).
So if you want to play on Tarantula, it is very easy to reach top and be competitive vs others, since gearing up depends only of you not from donation npc. In the end if you have farming areas full, youll get the pvp as well.
Stop searching false reasons to not join Tarnatula, since we have pretty good server. Sadly nowadays l2 community dont know to appreciate it.

1. Talking about what I saw in the videos or pics, not saying I know better, you do tests ( at least back in the days you were ) So I guess you know better.
2. Saw some videos ( maybe lost my eager eyes ) in which people were almost outta buffs, but yet again, if they didn't properly buffed, " what a bad end "
3. So mele classes will have a better engage, it is not supposed to be a breaking balance twist, but something to make a slight difference. With rabbit tattoos, zerk, ww, wind song, damn, try to catch me :-)

Doubt it we will come or play L2, we are a bounch of old farts ( as Moni would say ). Azwraith is at University and work, Slaymore just got back from he's ship 2-3 months ago, doing some studies and he's lazy as freak, Pena is not a virgin anymore ( bulgagagaga ) I'm hunting bread on daily basis ( damn I miss L2 but my g/f will slap me back to stone age ) etc etc etc.
As I see it, L2 is " attractive " just for old players, you don't really get new players on this game.

Azwraith is at University and work, Slaymore just got back from he's ship 2-3 months ago, doing some studies and he's lazy as freak, Pena is not a virgin anymore ( bulgagagaga ) I'm hunting bread on daily basis ( damn I miss L2 but my g/f will slap me back to stone age ) etc etc etc.

Up to S shadow gear, quests available at donnation npc (enough time passed), leveling never been easy. Im affraid this is enough for newcomer to start if he really wants to. We aint high rate server, so newcomers have to to do some effort, and cant expect epic sets in 10 days. Build a clan , gear it up and then aim for raids, these are basic concepts of Lineage 2 and well any MMO.
But main points:
-easy to level
-shadow up to S grade
-quest available on donny
Is pretty damn enough, no matter how old are you nor how much time do you have.
well on archers now u have 600-800 atk speed max

Tarantula is classic old-school L2 server, not for everyone, but for serious players. We also dont wipe/close/re-open servers each 3 months to gain cash, while on other hand seems that l2 predators keep joining same servers all over , even after open/close/re-open (interesting concept).
So if you want to play on Tarantula, it is very easy to reach top and be competitive vs others, since gearing up depends only of you not from donation npc. In the end if you have farming areas full, youll get the pvp as well.
don't get me wrong, i rly enjoyed playing on this server. at the begining there were tons of action, but now you cant hardly find a player on a farming spot.
guess farming might be extremely easy, also extremely boring. and still, after month of killing mobs you will get 1 shoted on pvp, so much fun.
guess we have different standards, i like constant action, you might be ok with one fight daily.

There is a lot of sugestions here guys but many of em really miss a point for newbs. Tracks ideas r great, and his answers completely legit. For example ur view Lancelot is only a view from ur side and how it will hurts u. Why do u think EWSs will be only for riches ? So dont sell em, keep em for urself like i do. U dont like +10 +++ weapons ? But this is the enchanting server. There r superior rates for enchanting and i dont know how u but i like glowing weapons at all, all u need is to get ur balls in ecnhanting and hope for a good result. The fact he is adding a few new things to event manager, mana pots or so will seriously help a lot more to newbs then to the farmed ones. Ye it will hurt a bit those who r rich here (i count myself as one of richiest ppl here) but i completely agree with this changes even if it hurts my income. Coz i like more ppl at server rather then more adenas.
Track keep it going, dont be upset from this haters. I know from many players playing here they like the way u doing ur job now.
My suggestion: add something to castle shops so castle owners will setup manor everyday - thats one of the top if not the topest thing helping newbies out of money-sturggling + for us maybe we finally get a normal castle sieges. Actually at all, i am sure i am not speaking just for myself: We wanna definitelly back good, old, mass pvp Castle sieges. At last for me it was always the best way of PVP in Lineage 2. But for now there are only few Castle sieges and 0 interest coz there is nothing they should fight for. For setting manor they can already get BOGs but it looks like they dont need them so much, so i dont know, maybe: adding VIAL or HORN (only suggestions) or smthing

this is not hypocrisy, i just think that efforts taht has to be payed into gearing up is not worth the reward of pvp action you can get back.
i think lower rates would stick players to farming spots for longer, but its too late. same for ++weapons and enchant rate.
btw. after quiting almost 2 months ago im still in top 10 pvp, and yeah ive been 1 hited couple of times, but i also were one hitting enemies on regular basis

Anyway, as i said , we are thinking to reduce power of mahum tattoo to the level of mage one. I believe it would be fair then. I will make a dummy tattoo and test few things during this week.

Restrictions on tanks are made with reason, to block what happened on past years. Sick combos which leaded to senslees amount of nerfs into skills , which leaded to more nerfs which leaded to chaos eventually.
Mana pots will be implemented.
Small reduction of mahum tattoo will be tested.
And yet, we are in interlude, not Hellbound. Yet.

Server balanced since 1st day, there were enough mages but in clans that quit before archers were made.There still enough mages on server.Our clan got 2pt of mages you see even 1 coming on forum and cry or qq? They deal 7-8-9k dmg on archers with valakas wm auguments even 13k crits.

3-If you fullbuff a mage withtout zerk,without war chant,but with SONGS PDEF,PDEF BUFFS,COV,and ONCE AGAIN NO ZERK,the damage from 6k will come to 3.5k.
Yesterday FC Party Played vs my party,i wasnt criting more then 3.5k with all auguments baium qa,bow +10,tatto empowered.
So i request GM'S to go and pm Admiral and Heli,ask them how much they crit as mage,and how is the rate of a mage when they have wild magic efect and valakas.
If you think mages are weak,go ask to mages that are well equiped.
So my point is ,its better to GM'S to dont listen,1st to ppl that dont even play and come with trash conversations without any knowledge,2nd to go buff 2 mages well buffed for pdef and check how is the diference when they are wellbuffed and not.
Heli and Admiral use to crit 12k as mage,and they crit really with high chances,so my point is.
When you dont have your char well equiped you dont have to talk like you tested something,mages fullbuff well equiped with augument wild magic lvl 10,will rape archers if they know how to buff/play,rest are just small excuses from people that dont know how to buff,and didnt test anything,I can even go do tests take screenshots and show you.

I did yesterday 1 vs 1 with morela in varkas,maybe 2 days ago,Morela knows very well how to buff.
I was criting 2.6k in a sps ee,when i got.
Draco f 10,Baium,Queen ant,mahum empowered tatto.
So you can imagine a normal archer with bow focus +3 this tatto..wont crit more then 2k in a well mage buffed.
Thats our point,we dont want unbalance the server,we want GM'S to open eyes for trash talk, cuz we play here and we know very well,its pure cry shit from people with prophet buffs,when this game is suposed to be played with all classes in party.Not with a prophet.

As you can see the wall tattoo mitigates quite enough the damage and you have to consider that your opponent have the following drawbacks:
a) he attacks 10% slower (-10% dps for him).
b) he receives 10% more damage (your party dps is basically raised by +10%)
c) the values exposed are for criticals only, normal hits gets an even more noticeable reduction (and critical rate is caplimited to 50% if i'm not wrong)
Wall tattoo gives as drawback that your DPS is reduced twice by -10% (pdef/mdef AND attack/castspeed).
Mahum/Ogre drawbacks have reduced DPS (-10% attackspeed) AND 10% more received damage.
Those 10+10% nulls each other BUT if you are in party the ones with Mahum have the disadvantage that they receive the extra 10% from everyone and not only the single opponent in front of them.
Basically Ogre vs Wall they null each other fully while Mahum vs Wall is all about luck (if they deal more criticals or more normal hits).
In both conditions Ogre/Mahum against a party have the extra drawback of additional 10% damage received from everyone.
I understand that anyway ogre/mahum have the advantages that can be equipped/unequipped just before the attack while, with Wall, you never know when they gonna hit you so you dont have this extra privilege.
That's why can be will be done some tweaks in next updates to balance out those two. (and also the +pdef/mdef ones that have the same issue of Wall)

seriously dude i play archer and i never said mages are weak u r takin it all wrong, mage/tank class was made to dominate over archers. i never said i wanna play one but tbh i would love to play example pw/tk or pr/sk which was really strong class on our server vs archers still it could be beaten. tho nmx 30 was still balanced server in pvp out of oly and we didnt had restriction Track could tell u about it since u all are from dragon before server merge...this restrictions just made us play certain chars that are better here then others and simply tank combo chars are unplayable here, once again i repeat on nmx30 wasnt no restrictions and still me and Mohito was only ones who was playin mage/tank combos on whole server. i must say i smell some fear from u guys

Tbh Ungo, NM was also freaked up since we had starting to touch skills, and it turned out to be a mess and you know those up n downs in nerfing makes players leave.As i said many times, imagine you invest some time and money in char and BOOM 3 days after DX gets wiped on siege, tomorrow morning NEWSFLASH "YOU HAVE BEEN NERFED vol.1".

i agree with u 100% about constant nerfs but those was mostly cuz of oly QQers like Lucif mate and u know it :) im only touched cuz on this server is a bit cutted in freedom of choice thats all anyway no offence Track or guys form Dragon im fine with my he/wl im just sad some combos are here unplayable but i must say i will be glad if u put mana pots cuz chars like daggers/dancers songers could be effective again...Anyway sorry i didnt wanna flame noone but reactions of some dragon players are hilarious im not new to this game and i dont wanna play mage/tank here so dont get me wrong

Sorry to say but I'm strictly against getting mana pots back.. There were so many 9vs9s that were decided by who had the best/most rechargers with them and it was a good viable reason to play supports. I'm sure the majority of people wants pots back since it requires a better party composition to play without but please be very careful if they end up getting added into game again, for me tattoos are plenty enough!

I know, but even forced 99% of the community, sadly, wont play support as main. However MP is a compromise toward more easier gameplay, hoping to make life easier to new/old players, opportunity to make adena, make gameplay of mages more easy.
In other words, even i dislike MP, seems nowadays demand requires it, else we will end up with few oldschool guys here including me.

I still think that mana potions arent necessery, although we could use herb mechanics for QUICK HEALING POTIONS (not available in game, and was nerfed in patch notes), maybe some buff potions (ww/haste/acu3/empower, so we have a bit of bane/cancel protection)

I think the same as someone wrote in this forum some time ago, instead of having all those tattoos, he had the idea of removing all of them but the mana tattoos so you won't have mana pots+ tattoos for boost your dmg etc
- 1 for mana potions on server mobs drop more then enouth herbs for mana
dont give this bonuses for bot users without mana potions they need to log 1 or 2 chars more for recharge
and will be more eazy to catch them
the only reason for mana potions i can think of is to make dagger/songer playable.
i mean if you use robe + mana up stick you can pretty much song 5-6 songs, change to dagger + light and have full mana. the 2nd resong will now be like 2-3 songs max tho
thats why i think the solution might be just adding passive song/dance clarity 10-30% for all dagger clasess. it wont effect any other classes nor combos

For example for new player's you can leave quest bosses spawn time's, will be better for them.
And one question to Track, why when is starting olympiad match, players don't have restore hp/cp/mp like in old dragon?

cos that would be unbalanced. prefrenzy orcs with full hp / prophets with full hp/mp etc.

About raids, currently (hoping you are watching correct secion; Tarantula World Bosses on our homepage) , you CAN see quest boss FULL data. Others not.
However , i do believe that small clans (until they develop) dont have chance to kill Valakas,Frintezza,Antharas even if no1 appear there, therefor i think we should put back that info.At the end of the day it brings guaranteed pvp, which we wall want right?

What about making mana pots only be usable while not in combat? In a PvP this still makes re-chargers really important. This makes farming relatively easier since all you need to do is get out of combat to replenish mana. And well, if you're able to get out of combat in the middle of a PvP you are either abandoning your party or your enemy isn't doing something right :P
